If Panthers Win Premiership In 2023

If the Penrith Panthers win the Premiership in 2023 (which I hope they don't) that means they'll be the only team since the Parramatta Eels to win 3 Premierships in a row. Ironically, the Eels won in 1981, 19882, 1983 and if the Panthers do win next year it will be 2021, 2022, 2023. Which be exactly 40 years directly after the Eels.

  • they will struggle to make the 4 with api gone

  • I think you should change your title heading from if to when.

    • Yeah i am with you BEM on this. I see a Panthers win in '23.

    • No because I don't won't them to win Bem. They're at the top of my NRL dislike teams. They're arrogant and need to come off their pedestal

      • I 100% agree with that statement PT47 and I sure as hell don't want those grubby pieces of shit to equal our record from the 80's but truth be told, they will be un-backable favourites to go 3 in a row.

  • Losing Api and Kikau , Their domination is over.

    • I would have to disagree.

Mitch Kenny is a good hooker and has been their starting hooker for a while now and for every good thing Kikau does he does something equally as stupid.

We took a nobody like Papali'i and turned him in to the best 2nd row forward in the game. There is no reason Penref can't do the same with Garner who showed how good he can be playing in a shit side like the Tigers.

    • Agree , Mitch Kenny doesn't have the creativity to worry teams around the ruck and his service from dummy  half is average - API changed the momentum of the game for the Panthers whenever he came on the field and straighten up their attack. Kikau is extremely hard to replace, how to do the Panthers replace that impact? Panthers attack will suffer with the absence of API and Kikau

  • IF they continue to dominate, NRL should change the rules slighlty , like they did to Parra in 2002 because we broke all sorts of records.

Perhaps ref's take back teams 12m, open it up abit, minimise their dodgy line speed to which they always appear offside, this also gives attacking teams (with natural skills like our halves) for time and space making it a more entertaining product. Just a thought... could be many other options people may have.

    • It seems what ever rules are made coaching, players and teams always find ways to manipulate them
