"There are a couple of interesting points regarding Ryley's development as a player. The first is that he played hooker, lock and half in Penrith's lower grades. It's similar to Cam Smith's development as Smith came through as a half before Bellamy…"
"Ryley is just a good bloke, as most if not all the squad are."
"I thought he'd be right up your alley Pops with Smith being an ex age grade Aussie cricketer.
Me I just love the guys effort and workrate I'm taking that over talent everyday of the week. Some players have it and some just don't."

well 500k would mean that we could put him down to wenty if he does not train well or has a poor attitude in games as we would have suitable replacement who would be estatic just to play so hayne would have to work for a spot in the 17 each week that what i feel signing him on 500k means but i could be wrong but who is gonna pay more
...regarding attitude...
That would start things off on the right foot.
No. The guy is a dickhead and we really should have a NO DICKHEAD policy going forward.
Ask yourself these questions.
1. Would Melbourne, The Roosters, The Cowboys or the Broncos want this guy? Answer: No
2. Who wanted him when he came back from living his dream? Answer: Only the NRL hierarchy, no current coaches were interested in him.
So why do we want him.
We are going along just fine without him. Thanks
2. Hayne still has talent
3. Look at the terms - $500k to play wing. That goes a long way to setting the correct framework so we get the talent but not the dickhead
The only thing that can save Hayne's brand is coming back to the Eels and proving he is not a Prima Donna/ princess but happy to do what ever he has to for the team to win a premiership
He could partially salvage his brand by winning a premiership elsewhere but only partially - and not many premiership contenders would risk him or need him.
