Ideas/suggestions for next year

Hi all, I will definitely be using the off-season to try and beaver away at some new features for the site - top of the list will be footy tipping. I'm thinking of angling it as a super tippo, with points for things like first try scorer, last try scorer, margin, etc? Or do you think just keep it simple? I've got some ideas for how I can get things like ladders and draws back on the site as well, but please, if you've got any suggestions then let us know...

oztips might allow you to use their ladder, stats etc. you could run the tipping comp through there too. i reckon keep it simple.

  oztips would be easier, but a tipping app is not difficult to build and if I build it into the site, I can do things like put a widget on the front page and on people's profile pages etc

    Mate keep it simple. I was in an oztip comp this year that was TAB prices and that worked pretty well.

    Oh ok i didn't realise that you'd actually be doing the development yourself, as opposed to using a tipping site's plugin. The reason i suggested oztips is that I'm in a few comps over there so it's quick and easy to use the same tips across all the comps... so yeah my suggestion is purely based on my own lazy needs!

You could put in ladders and player profiles, oh, and could you please kick out the Bulldogs supporters that are ruining it for the rest of us?

Include a ladder and a 2010 draw on this site for sure, but as far as tipping goes, I'm a fan of traditional OzTipping. ;)

keep it simple but for every parra game only have first try scorer for that game.(but you don't have to tip a parra player). have a tipping ladder built into the site and also have an nrl ladder so we know where the eels are on the table all season. also add a next match section saying where parra is playing each round, updating weekly so we know who, where and when parra is playing.

Phil, before I put in my two cents I'll preface by saying I have no idea about these sites and what is feasible and what is not, and also I would hate to suggest anything that would increase your workload, but maybe some of the games stats of the playing 17 each week. Would certainly stop some of the disagreeing blogs generated each week.
