Michael Jennings, Tim Mannah and Kane Evans are three players that I would resign for at least 1 year at their true market value.I think they have done enough this year to justify a further year.No more than a 1 year conteact and if we futher extend them, then only 1 year at a time.

Moses has put his price up after a 10 out of 10 performance against the Sharks and so did Gutho.

Interesting times ahaed on who we keep and who we let go.

  • From all reports the club is already in talks with Jenko about an extension, on the proviso that he accepts a substantial pay cut. From what I've read, he's amenable to that. Probably knows that his big dollar days are done, now looking for one last long term deal even if he has to take a big pay cut to get it.

Evans is under contract for a further year, and reportedly the club wants the market to set Timmy's value before committing to an extension.

    • Hope you are right. A pay cut is necessary

  • As you say as long as said players understand the reality of their true market value I agree. That said we need to be looking at upgraded talent beyond these guys too.

  • Gutho will resign with Parra in the next few weeks I'm predicting. He likes it at Parra

  • I like to see tim Mannah retire along with Gower

and manu playing good footy when he come back doesn't brack down again i give him one more year

Alvaro i give one more year

taka i give one more year

    Moses 2 more years

    Gutherson 3 years

Terepo if he stay out of trouble 2 more years

    Moeroa 2 more years

    Rest are history

  • I would offer Jennings a 1 year contract, with an option in favour of the club and not on big money. He isn't a spring chicken anymore and his role should be to mentor the next gen coming through. Mannah, possibly the same as he is in the same boat as Jennings and Evans I would wait and see how he goes because he has been pretty ordinary for the Eels until now and is playing the house down to earn a new contract, as are most, but we wont players who will earn their contracts on a weekly basis, not who only play good in the last season of their contract to earn another one.

Terepo; 2yrs (provided he can stay out of trouble),

Alvaro; 1yr with an option in favour of the club for another,

Tepai; 1yr with an option in favour of the club for another,

Taka; I like as a player but we have some young guys coming through who won't hang around if there isn't a spot for them to take. He isn't a forward, he is a centre who is still ok but has lost a bit of pace and doesn't move laterally all that well due to his size.
