Ikin is far worse than Kent. Ben Ikin is the biggest speculator in rugby league journalism.
I thought in typical Kent style he came across as racist too. Fanua Blake said his piece and Kent was fuming because Fanua had a different opinion to his. You can physically see Kent seething in his chair. Trbojevic and Wade Graham come on and say nothing other than they'll just go with the flow until they hear otherwise and Kent praises them as true leaders.
How did anything he say come off remotely racist at all?
I think Kent is taking up the argument on behalf of Fox. He probably has been told he and the NRL won't be paid if the shows don't run because there is no games (content) to report on.
I find him irritating most of the time. I don't think he has the emotional IQ to give a balanced opinion. However, I appreciate the fact he speaks his mind, even when I disagree with him.
The easiest thing to do is hit the remote, problem solved.

I agree totally with Paul Kent. For goodness sakes can everyday people doing their everyday jobs get paid if they don't go to work? Fonua Blake is the buffoon not Kent. If he doesn't play because of the comp shutting down then he doesn't get paid....quite simple! These guys have been paid handsomely in the years before 2020. Perhaps they will have to go out and actually work for a living instead of making fools of themselves as a result of being paid too much for their microscopic brains to analyse and use constructively. Perhaps they will have to work over 40hrs a week instead of being paid handsomely for kicking and passing a piece of pigskin around a beautifully manicured field for 1 hr and 20mins a week. Poor babies!!!
It all depends on what is in PKs contract with his employers.
The CBA between the NRL and players has a clause in it about an "Act of God" situation, which is where we are at. If there are no games to be played, then the broadcasters don't have an obligation to pay the NRL who then have no obligation to pay the clubs and players. The players agreed to this, so if any of them want to sook about it they need to have a dose of concert and harden the fcuk up.
Fonua-Blake is a dope. He stands there and says he should still be payed becuase he is healthy and able to play, but I'll guarantee he will keep his dumb mouth shut if he were to get sick or injured and cannot play. Where will the dope be then?
