I'm back

Before I start I'd like to say I'm glad to be back from a one year absence. My current thought on our team this year is that we're not good enough to make the top four. So I think we need to make signings and rotate the squad. We've already signed Mitch Moses & reportedly Kane Evans. Both I believe are good signings. Now we need to make 2 more signings to be a top four team and possibly make the grand final for 2018. We need to cover the hooker and front row position. The 2 signings I believe will fill those in is Nathan Peats & Jacob Lillyman. However in order for us to have enough money to entice these players to join our club we need to offload players. These players I be,I eve should be Tim Mannah & Beau Scott. I have a huge amount of respect for both these players and I appreciate the loyalty these p,ayers have given to the club especially Timmy. But their best days are gone and I believe for the best interest of the club they need to go. I'm now gonna present the 17 I believe can win us a premiership in 2018 and why.1. Clinton Gutherson2. George Jennings3. Michael Jennings4. Kirisome Au'va5. Bevan French6. Mitch Moses7. Corey Norman8. Kane Evans9. Nathan Peats10. Jacob Lillyman11. Manu Ma'u12. Brad Takairangi13. Nathan Brown-----------------------14. Kenny Edwards15. Suaia Matagi16. Tepai Moeroa17. Kenny EdwardsNow why I believe these players should be in the team and why they deserve that place.Clinton Gutherson gets the nod ahead of Bevan French for me as Gutho is just more capable of being a fullback and all around just better. If Bevan wants that fullback position he needs to bulk up & to be more involved. But I believe he is better on the wing even though his defence is questionable his pace and try scoring ability is astounding. George Jennings should replace semi instead of Josh Hoffman as I believe that George has developed nicely over the past 3 years and if he continues to impress for Wenty this year im sure he'll get to have some games with the first team. Josh I believe is to impatient in defence and overall I don't think he would be able to partner Michael well. I think if Michael gets to partner with his brother his confidence and his ability will go through the roof. Kirisome Au'va takes the other centre spot as he has been very impressive his for his first 2 games with parra and if he keeps it up I see no reason to replace or drop him. Mitch is the perfect half partner for Corey both of them have great running games and kicking games and can create havoc across the field and Mitch will compliment Corey as he will have a huge amount of pressure taken off him and Corey will do likewise to Mitch. Once Cameron Smith retires Nathan Peats will be the best Hooker in the nrl. His defence is amazing and his attitude to the games are spot on. He can kickstart our sets really well and can defend really well and is exactly what parra have been missing of late. Jacob Lillyman is arguably the most underrated forward in the game. He runs the ball hard makes plenty of metres and hit ups. And his experience will help guide our younger forwards. Kane also is young and is a wrecking ball. He may have some doubters as he currently isn't even able to make the roosters starting team. But not many forwards in the game would be able to take the place of JWH, Napa & Cordner. Manu Ma'u has been consistent over the last 3 years his defence is poor at times but he on his day is one of the most deadliest players on the field. Brad Takairangi is an amazing ball runner and has an excellent kicking game for a big man. He is wasted in the centre and I believe he belongs in the second row. If BA can develop him into a second rower Ove rabid year he can be the Wade Graham of our team. Nathan Brown rounds out our starting team and I believe he has been of our best in the opening 7 rounds of footy and has done nothing wrong imo to be dropped. On to the bench and we start with Kenny Edwards who has a very similar game style to Brad Takairangi and he can swap with him during the game and also be our utility as he can play second row, front row, 5/8 & centre. Suaia Matagi & Peni Terepo are great impact players and create mania when given the ball. If both of them keep their errors to a minimal they will be just what we need to help our side turn around a game when we need them too. Last but not least Tepai Moeroa. Tepai isn't good enough for the starting team however I believe parra should keep him as he is still only 21 and has plenty of years left in him. Tepai burst onto the scene 3 years ago and was dubbed as the next Hindy u fortunately Tepai hasn't done much since and is still looking for that breakout season which I believe will come soon. That concludes me for today. Like I said earlier it's great to be back and I hope you guys enjoy the read and agree with me with some parts. Cheers.

  • Welcome back Trent, how was the sex change ;)

    • Obviously loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong!?

You've made up for lost time it seems Trent?
  • Rubbish
  • With a reported up to 3 million to spend, there'll be no need to offload players Trent.

Gower and a couple of other fringe players may be realeased, but I'm hoping we re-sign Auva'a.

Lillyman, not sure about signing any more players above 30 as I think we're past that stage with recruitment
    • You mean that you read this freaking blog Chief?

I'm disgusted that you had the time ;)

    • No I just wanted to see susan Vega .
  • Lillyman 34 no thanks Trent.
  • Parra needs a big young forward perhaps someome like shannon boyd etc ( broncos have a few however they dont lose players )
    • Yeah, how good has Hess been for the Cows? A little quiet last game but a ready made Scott replacement possibly?

    • Not a bad side, Im with you on Bev being a fullback only. Not sold on auvaa being a winger.
Also, what happens when nafan pits gets injured and ruled out for half the season? Who's our backup 9?
Also, carrying takka and kenny on the bench leaves 2 front row interchanges and no other player really capable of playing 9, which is scary.
