Are you now going to close all non football threads Brett in anticipation you're going to funnel traffic to the new ghost town ? It's no different to the unused " groups " on this page . Nice try but .Btw some honest feedback , the new platform is no better than this one . It's actually worse .

  • Haven't bothered to go into the new threads, too much effort IMO.

    • Well that explains why you haven't replied to all the shite that I've been writing about you over there Al :))

  • Why can i only read 4 messages at the time. Im sorry i dont like it. 2 out of 10
  • I know you're only following the bosses orders , hence my query what they are ? There's nothing more frustrating than visiting to see what new music someone's added only to find that you were the last person to comment 48 hours ago , then to return here to see that there is an ATO discussion you're interested in only to find you've closed it and told people to go over there where there's 5 members to discuss it .
  • I agree Wiz, this site has always had a bit of a mix with content - "footy and some other stuff". I hope no one loses sight of what has made this site so popular over the years. It's a balancing act but if it's pushed too far the way of "footy only" the site could well suffer.

You only have to look at which blogs garner the most replies and views.

Anyway, hope it works out, but i've regularly gone and had a look too and there is absolutely nothin' doin' over there,,,,,

    • Fair point Kram, but on the flip side do you think at times there are a lot of non footy blogs on here that generally end up with 6 or so bloggers taking over the thread and ramming their point of view down peoples throats and it normally ends up in some sort of slanging match between them anyway.

My point being maybe the site went away from not enough "footy talk" so Phil had to do something?.

      • Take out the main contributors of this sites so called non footy related blogs and this site will die a very long painful death unfortunately.
There needs to be a mix - current system is/was perfect.
For the footy addicts, read the blog title - that normally gives you a idea of whether you would want to read or contribute. If not stop, then stop the bloody whinging and go read TCTs all things Parra love fest.
  • Betamax video player sales were slow at first too Bretto . . . .

Same with the Leyland P76   :)

LB replied to Hell On Eels's discussion Who Said Trials Mean Nothing?
"The cautionary tale of 2012, played 4 trials, won all 4 trials. Went on to win 6 games all year. Granted we have a much better roster than 2012 under Kearney but yeah when i watch trials i do not normally get emotional as i do during the year. I…"

Hell On Eels replied to Hell On Eels's discussion Who Said Trials Mean Nothing?
"Exactly, Muttman. It's about habits and mindset. Everyone always says trial form means nothing, but some players don't like to loss coin tosses or ping pong rallies no-one is watching."
