brief summary of the article:
Zac Lomax, a former Dragons superstar, signed a four-year deal with the Parramatta Eels, only to find himself in a turbulent situation when the Eels' head coach, Brad Arthur, was sacked shortly after Lomax's announcement as a marquee signing. Lomax was initially disgruntled with being shifted from the centers to the wing, leading to reports of him requesting a release. Despite the upheaval, Lomax had a career-best year, making his Origin debut and being named the Dally M Winger of the Year. The Eels eventually appointed Jason Ryles as their new head coach, with whom Lomax had previously worked. Lomax expressed excitement about his new environment and saw the move as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my little venture there as of late and mate, it’s unreal. I just love the culture and love what Ryles is about and the club.
“I feel really confident in my game but I think for me, it’s about understanding how a new system operates.
“I’ve been in the same system for quite some time now and I just love that I’m learning everyday. Rylesy is unbelievable.
“He’s been in such successful systems and he knows what winning looks like. I’ve been like a sponge, I’ve trained as hard as I could and I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here.
“I’m learning every day, and I feel like because I’m learning it’s been so good to turn up to training and compete and just play footy.”

Mick, i reckon Ryles was the reason Lomax knew Parramatta would be the right fit. I'm even saying that Lomax knew Ryles would be our next head coach.
The bush coach's head was already on the chopping block when Lomax signed
So for some to think Lomax would sign for 4 seasons after meeting with the Bushie and his wife's home barbecue when Brad was already on the outer are kidding themselves.
Lomax and Ryles are regulars down Wollongong way, and both knew that they would meet up at the Eels
Good point Chief wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason why Zack committed so quickly , Lomax is coming into a great period in his career footy wise - have 4 rep players in the backline including 2 speedsters will shock some teams when things start to click into gear - just heard Daley on SEN say Moses will be considered for the 5/8 position SOO
Moses should be the starting halfback.
If they want Cleary in the team, he should be on the bench in 14.
Does that mean you think that the chase for Wayne was all garbage as well as the extensive search for the new coach? Seems like a huge waste of time if they had already told Ryles he was the man.
Yes, absolutely.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you need therapy of you think that .
^ that LOL
I'm not saying the Bennett contact was totally false, but that was way before the signing of Lomax was made.
Does anyone really think Lomax signed for 4 seasons when the bush coach was as good as gone.
30 days after Lomax signed, Brad was given the arse
Chief McDuck attempted a last minute sneak attack that failed miserably, anyway it's work out well - Clint Eastwood would have done hit and run mission, next minute the cap is busted and then it takes years to clean up that mess.
Why did Lomax ask for a BA clause then ? He knew BA was getting the sack , so he wanted a clause so he could pull out when it happened?
