Yes, it's true - I do feel dirty & - I CONFESS - I gave up on Parra TWICE - initially when Johnathon Wright and Inu bungled a simple kick through to put the Panthers up by 2 try's in 10 minutes was my FIRST cowardly act - I simply switched chanels , watched the British Open Golf and went to sleep. I was taping the game, so awoke to coffee and a new sense of bravery - OK - I'll watch another 70 minutes of torture.......but within 10 minutes.....and now down 22-0.....I thought RIGHT, THAT's IT - I'm outa here.....so quickly switched to Judge Judy (yep, I know) over the Parra-whot the hell is the - matta.
So for 30 minutes i listened to Judge Judy barking out insults when she struck a nerve - right down my blue & gold spineless spine - MORON - WHERE IS YOUR MORAL COMPASS the Judge barked and ranted......
I knew I had lost mine, trading a desperate Parra for the Judge.....and sheepishly knew I had to return to the Parra and Penrith game....in search of my missing compass
.........Down 22-nil and there is my hero....Big Fui mascarading like a centre 3/4........he breaks through the first line of defense and with ONLY, the fullback to beat........REDEMPTION.........Fui throws a SIDESTEP to score Parra's first TRY while the Panthers no1 is left grasping at thin air...........
That was enough for me....I was back.....GO FUI....U BEAUTY !!!!.....
But that wasn't all, maybe the Football Gods forgave me by coming back - cause , from right out of my TV - The HAYNE TRAIN stopped & whistled ALL ABOARD - and I did, real smartly let me tell ya - I tucked my moral compass back into my jeans & jumped right back on........never, ever, ever to repeat my mistake again
Go the Eels

That's as bad as walking out with 8 minutes to go... Those people who left the first Manly game know who you are...
I was tempted to walk out of the club where I was watching (and the ONLY Eels supporter in the bloody place as usual) but something deep inside of me held me there.
Parra didn't quit so why should we?
The good sign was that you DID come back.
