I dunno what this bogs about.

I have just seen the Kambosos v Lopez fight. George has the soul of a warrior. He breathes fight, battle ignites him. He is happy to risk taking one of yours to land one of his, and he takes plenty. The manner in which he deals with damage reminded me of Jeff Harding. And that reminded me of Jeff Harding. Randette knew Jeff from a pub Balmain. His mental decline, from brain injury and alcohol, was sharp and unnforgiving. He became a shell of himself. I was a fan af Paul Briggs. One punch too many....party over. Ray Price had fight, it was in his bone marrow. And it has cost him.......you can see it. Steve Folkes , with his postmortem CTE daiagnosis.Do all boxers have CTE? I fought for a while, and took my share of shots... Oh shit!.... If these warriors had known the future price their fighting would extract from them,if they had understood it, would they have have behaved the same way?

I believe that they would have. They were full of fight, it was about the fight. They sought it out and lapped it up. They had the mental ability to put the damage on lay-away. To shrug it off. It is a skill you cannot really teach or learn, past a point. It seems to be just how some people are wired.

Then you have guys like Matto. Matto has plenty of competitive fight, but his brain doesn't like the hits. It complains. After head knocks he is visibly rocked. I am sure he would fight to stay on the field(old rules),  but unlike Price when he continued half unconscious, Matto would have no effective fight left to give. Mabey his brain is sending him a message.

Also........I have had to fight a bit of fear (and loathing) in the past 6 days.  I may have lashed out on 1EE. Poppa has been grinding my gears for a while......i had a few things i was keen to.....share with him..... i only intended to give a him a light slap.....

In short, I am genuinely sorry if my aggressive posts, at this time of year, upset or annoyed any of you folk. I was being mindless of the effect that inflicting my mood on others would have........I will try to do better......

Our health is good enough, it goes up and down quickly, Last night was v.uncomfortable.......and in case it wasn't obvious, yes, I am hammered

  • Mate no need to apoligise.   You touched up one person that needed it.   Hope you feel better mate and turn the corner soon.  We need your wit and humour working on all cylinders mate....

    • Yeah, but timing is everything 'eh. Thanks

    • Well said Paul, Randy was clearly on the end of the usual poppa put downs, i saw it unfold.

Nothying wrong with standing your ground and not letting yourself be spoken to like a pos.

Just be yourself Randy, you didnt do anything wrong.

PT is a good judge above and has no bias, he's spot on.

Glad u watched the rest of the Kambo fight, mate i reckon yes some sport causes brain injury but as long as the person is aware of the risks and everybody does their best to minimise them, its all systems go.

We all choose to do things in life that hurt us, just have to weight out the positives and negatives.

Would i risk brain injury to be a world champion boxer like Kambosos?, bloody oath i would.

      • As you suggested Snake, I watched the post-fight.....Gold

          • lol Teofimo is as delusional as his old man, serious disgrace to boxing.

It was the worst bit of sportsmanship ive ever seen, George handled it like a champ.

The black american boxing community has really turned on the lopez's now, they are the joke of boxing.

Sad for Teofimo jr because hes a very good fighter, just spent to long bullying smaller guys at 135 when he should be 140 or even 145.

Fucking massive fight for George next, not announced yet but the talk is Haney or Lomachenko, both i believe George can beat.

            • I am pretty sure George believes that he can beat them too.Whoever is next, they have their hands full.  He is on top of the world...and I don't think it will go to his head, too much....well, not in a bad way. He has taken his chance, I get the feeling he would like to keep his jewels

              • As the old saying goes, youre not a true champion until you defend your belts.

He needs to defend them at least once but he wont be cherry picking an easy beat like many champs do for their first few defences, George is going to fight legit gifted boxers in the most stacked and talented division in world boxing.

I'm backing him in, i reckon he's a lot better than many of the yanks realise.

  • Randy, your to hard on yourself. No need to apologise, health first and the rest is history.

    • No its not mate, its plenty of people sick of the constant behaviour of one person.

His daily behavious is gutter level low and even guys like PT can see it, who never says a bad word about anybody.
