Huh, Its Robsons Defence Holding His Spot Is It?

All you robson supporters out there are calling for Robson to hold his spot and keep Keating locked in NSW cup until we get beaten. Well ive got a question to get you thinking...What you are saying is that his defence is great?? Has KK's defence ever let us down.... The answer is no!! Look at it, if it was all about defence why would we bring Mateo back into the side, he has bad lapses at times but you are calling for him to take Lowries/B.Smiths place who have been some of our best defence players in recent times..It makes no sense! If you look back to round 10 whatever it was KK was our only spark in attack, and we cant just keep relying on Hayne to be our only spark. If we have KK out there it will only give the oppostion more headaches!I hope i have persuaded some of you Robson fans..If keating isnt in for this weeks match against the tigers (which i dont think he will be) it will be too late to bring him in this close to finals footy!

  • i am a robson fan. And i do not agrree with you ParraMagic. Robson defence is 1st class and his organising is good as well. he handles himself well and takes plenty of pressure off mortimer
    • you think robson has a future in the blue and gold?
  • We've kind of done this topic to death!
  • KK is no Mateo. Fans love Mateo.

Many here view Mateo in a different class when compared to Lowrie. But we understand that Lowrie has played very well these last few weeks and deserves to be on the bench.

Robson on the other hand plays the way we like it. He defends brilliantly and gives the ball to Mortimer or Haynes.... our real playmakers.
  • Actually ParraMagic the stats have shown KK makes far less tackles than Robson and misses more tackles too. Robson's attack obviously is no match for KK.
    • i know kk doesnt make as many tackles but i know kk isnt a bad defender
  • I reckon KK should come back in too. But the fact people are backing Robson and are content with his perfomance in the team is an absolute credit to the bloke.
  • KK is a good defender
  • Robson actually looks ok when he runs the ball. be interesting to see a comparison between the 2 stat wise.
  • For the KK fans out there who say Robson's attack offers nothing. I bet you anything that the gameplan going into each match is for Robson to leave it up to Mortimer and Hayne for the attack, and for him to just set up some plays and tackle his heart out, which he does 100%.

We can't criticise Robson for having no attacking flair when more than likely, he has been told not to get in the way.

And before one of your moronic "Is Robson our future halfback" posts Magic, no he isn't, I reckon Mortimer is. But Mortimer isn't ready yet..

"I'm with you LB, beggars can't be choosy, he could be very handy in the right circumstances.
I don't hold petty grudges. He would start as a reserve for Reserve Grade and then we see where he fits to suit our needs. There is a few things he coud…"
