    Thanks Benno , hope you're correct . just to be safe I just ordered $1000 bucks worth online @ a rate of 24.8 THB so I'm hedging my bets both ways .
    
    The Mrs is having an operation in Phuket and you have to pay for it before you leave Aus and I paid the bill week before last at a rate of 26 THB and the total for the ops about 12K so I'm cheering so far for getting in early . The company she's using to arrange the op are currently at 23.6 THB .

  While on this subject, I am going to the Uk and Europe in September and not sure how it is going to affect the exchange rate on the $AUD.

  There will be a sharp drop over the next few days, but it will stabilise over the next couple of weeks at the most - might be even quicker. There's even a school of thought that the Oz will actually fare very well. The whole Brexit thing is gonna actually take about 10 years to finalise anyway.

  I reckon you are lookin' at about a 5% loss/gain at the most.

  Probably more pertinent to make sure that all your shots and health insurance are in order ;)

    We leave 25th July , back on 10th August the Mrs is having an operation mate and I've been given a hall pass whilst she's recovering :) any members here in Patong between these dates ?

  Watch for any movement during the week either side of the election.

  Usually $AUD drops marginally until the smoke of the election clears.

  Libs in prob no major - Labor in could see $AUD drop.
