How should Mateo be used?

Parra fans will hold dear memories of the likes of David Solomona and Dean Widders coming off the bench and creating havoc. I'm wondering if Feleti will be used in this role for the rest of the year. No doubt he can start but I'm wondering given that we have so much attacking abilities if it might be a good idea for a while at least to just keep him in that interchange role to give us a bit of variety during the match? What do people think?

Mateo provides attacking flair at any time, and can play almost 80 minutes in most cases. He is fine as a starter.
    • Think Joe needs to come off the bench. He was awesome tonight - he's got the experience to come off the bench and inject himself straight into the game and if he starts who plays that prop role.
      • Yeah, maybe Smith in at #12 running a little wide. As long as we stop throwing him bullet face balls.
  • Seems he will have to earn his starting spot, or wait for an injury, DA has shown great loyalty to the winning formula. One thing is for sure DA is toughening up our underbelly which has been soft for a while now.
  • dunno. its hard to say. mateo should start i think. but i think should lowrie start or be cut from the team. because i dont think he is a bench option
  • To me he seem's under done, 5kg over and a little slow... BUT I can understand why 14 weeks out is a long time.

For now, for me off the bench and work his way in.

Feleti, Yes we need him in a big way. I just think it takes time..
  • i think feleti will have a big role for us and be crucial if we are a chance of winning the GF

    Lowrie and Galuvao to bench.

    11. Hindmarsh
    12. Shackleton
    13. Mateo
  • Prefer other way around simply because Lowrie doesn't really offer much in attack as opposed to Mateo.

"I thought he was definitely coming to parra. But the way bulldogs played last night, especially their fullback having a bit of an off game, makes me think there might be something to this.
I would imagine bulldogs would want him next year though.…"

"Not really Eli, the conditions were atrocious and the weakness that the dogs have (in those conditions) is a light mobile pack which was not suited. If you noticed the Dolphins played straight up the middle and made a lot of metres doing so. That…"

"Don't know Cappy, Burton would make a great fullback, always thought Stacey was marking a spot.
If this is true I think it is a really smart move. Burton is a very good player, I would have him 5/8 in the current Blues side, he will eat fullback.…"
