How Much will Jake Participate in 1st Grade in 2023?

This not first and foremost not a blog to bash young Jake as I kind of feel sorry for him because: 1. He has passion for the game. 2. He tries hard. 3. He wants to impress his team mates and his dad. 4. Sometimes he does something good. However, when all is said and done I don't believe young Jake has the natural talent to currently make it the top grade level. He really needs to spent another year or 2 in the lower grades and maybe very occasionally be on the 1st grade bench. In my opinion young Jake is too predictable, too slow, can't direct the team, extremely in his movement as a half back, has a terrible kicking game and basically slows the team down. I just can't understand why his dad persists with pushing his son into the top grade when it's more than a 100% obvious to most people he's just doesn't have it. I'm also bewildered as to why the Eels recruitment didn't chase a decent back up half instead of having to rely on young Jake. How much 1st grade time will Jake get in 2023? I'm hoping that it will be zero but I have a sneaking suspicion that young Jake will be named on the bench for the vast majority of the 2023 season which will extremely excruciating for the majority of supporters

  • He doesn't have explosiveness which is what every top line  league player - tall short fat or skinny basically has. The only player, who was a great player, that I can even think of who was more of an endurance style athlete was Cameron Smith. But he was converted very early on into a hooker role and he made up for it by being the most intelligent league player ever, superhumanly strong and fit and always a play ahead. Cameron smith wouldn't have been a champion halfback though.

  • He would make a great coach, he has a good mind and vision. Just his body and skills cannot keep up with his mind.

    • Seriously you jest LB?

      • He is studying a Bachelor degree in Sports Coaching at University.

        • Coaching what? Egg🥚and spoon 🥄 races

          • Bit Harsh - do you know the kid personally PT. I d encourage most youngsters to study and get a degree at University if their able to. Not sure why your so against anything he does.

Your first statement in the Blog Topic was " First and Foremost not a blog to bash young Jake" . He sure gets under your skin PT.

  • If he doesn't play nothing if he plays nothing

    • Good answer but not sure what you mean exactly

      • I'm sure you can work it out

        • I can't I need help. I think you mean that if he plays because he doesn't contribute much it means he really doesn't play at all? Correct?
