  • 35 for me, dad was a Manly fan, when i was about 5 parra chose me because i was watching a game on tv with him and parra were winning and he was cursing and calling them mugs or something like that, i loved how ruff they looked, loved the long hair and colours, they chose me on that day.

Sort of regretted not going for my old mans team just for those few years as he was gone 2 years later, i was too young to understand it would have meant something to him, but here i am 35 years later, still the only Eels fan in my family.

    • " I loved how ruff they looked, loved the long hair and colours, they chose me that day." Is it just me but ffs Snake you sound gay.
    • When I was born the first article of clothing I wore was an eels shirt! So 25 years.
My father raised me with no other choice than blue and gold. I consider could be child abuse considering the disappointments as a supporter I have suffered since I have been a passionate supporter.
I'm too young to have seen the glory days of the 80's (live). But when I was younger I saw when Dean Pay came to the club and seeing him bend the line back every run was inspirational as a kid. I met him when I was younger as he had a business in town- I didn't say too much I was just in awe. To this date he would still be one of favourite players.

I've never witnessed a premiership but I am hopeful it's in the works, I feel more confident now than I did during 2005-2010!
  • 50 yr anniversiry my first game was newtown v parra at henson park 1966

  • Id say since birth (44 years as all my family were the mighty eels supporters) but can remember first game at 6 years old still.

The reality is that Parra were born to be a powerhouse and its only through this complex we find ourselves…"
