According to Gus Gould and Paul Gallen they've both only selected 2 Parramatta Eels players for the NSW Blues. They've both selected Junior Paulo and R.C.G. Gallen has both on the bench but Gould has R.C.G. on the run on side at number 8. I didn't think that Gutherson or Brown would make the side and I'm surprised by the inclusion of Junior Paulo based on the last couple of games. I reckon the Ben Hunt will get selected for the Maroons over both Mahoney and Grant due to Grant having injury and Mahoney's inexperience.

for the first time I agree with Gould . There's no other Eels player remotely near the side . Personally JP is lucky to be considered .
Junior and RCG were always the only chances
Once upon a time a player like Brown would be first picked . Now being aggressive is a liability . I don't think I even watched last year's series . Ben Creigh wouid be considered an Origin hard man in 2021 . A real loose cannon .
You probably have to put Radley in the same category as Brown
Sure... but Sivo would be picked for Fiji, Marata and IP for NZ.
If Fiji , IP and NZ were states of Aus and part of the SOO . Otherwise their selection would be pretty comical .
Not that comical, 1/2 of NSW has been part of QLD for yonkers. Just ask Greg Inglis et al.
I agree to the point that RCG should be the run on prop as he is consistant and back to good form when he last represented NSW and Paulo should be on the bench for impact when he comes on. I think Mitchell is to hot and cold and you never know what one is going to turn up so I would have Tom Turbo 1 centre and Gutherson the other as he always gives it his all and done nothing wrong to loose his place in the side. So I would say 3 eels should be picked and deserves to be picked.

Gutho may be a chance for 14 (even 18th man) now that Papanhausan is injured. Matto maybe a chance too because of Angus ban but will likely go for bronco TPJ. Paulo and RCG likely. Although Reed is close, I'm not sure they think he'll be ready.
Ohh and Waqa Blake for his strong D, is also a chance.....
