First ive heard of this.
I mentioned 2 years ago that this game under Greenturd was a farce and that the refs / NRL players, decide who will win.
I was accused of being paranoid etc.
This year has proven under no doubt that this entertainment avenue is an absolute RORT.
Mate, only two activities have presented themselves as sports Entertainment WWE and Greenturd with the nrl.
How?
Please explain the refereeing in both the Storm and Cowboys games.
Plus, why is it that the Home team generally wins the penalty count?
Why is it that the refs have been recorded asking the bunker what the penalty count is? They then balance the count up with a few token penalties, albeit too late.
Explain the Rorters cap for me please and don’t tell me they have SUPER TPA’S!?
How have the Sharks signed almost every decent player that has come on the market, some of which were still under contract?
How can we have large betting agencies sponsoring the game when alcohol and cigarette companies are not allowed too?
Why is it that when a team is held in their own 30 that the refs feel the need to give a penalty?
Why has the game become so based around 50/50 calls so a referee can easily decide the outcome?

Agree the game is better off without gambling unfortunately too many are addicted to the revenue stream, Parra would be broke without Pokies.
TPA system is a rort and heavily favours some teams.

Don't forget the refs high fiving Broncos players when awarded a penalty. That one was nicely swept under the carpet.
I don’t think the game is a rort. I just think the level of incompetency from our officials and administrators is at an all time high. They don’t know what they’re doing. The rules are pandering to society’s pc environment and it is ruining the game completely. The TPA and salary cap situation should be totally transparent and made available to the public. Of course clubs are taking advantage of that lack of transparency. I wouldn’t call that a rort, I’d call that an administrative failure. As for referees, they are plain and simply incompetent. The lack of consistency is glaring and all fans hate it! They need “rugby league “ people running the game that can define a consistent set of rules for the referees to adjudicate on. I still cannot believe we have Todd Greenberg running the game. He is not a rugby league person. He is a purely business. The game can’t improve under these types of people. John Quayle was a prime example of a rugby league person. He played the game, he knew the game, he loved the game. Rugby League thrived under Quayle. I miss those days dearly. The game is not a rort. It just seems that way due to out of touch administration.
I can't understand that the refs are 'incompetent'.
There are two of them. Plus, there is the bunker which makes so many mistakes. How many times have we seen what is a straight forward decision go the opposite way? They are not incompetent imo, they are 'instructed'.
The rule book is supposedly very brief, so maybe it could be updated and made conclusive to take away 'interpretations' of the rules? I've lost count how many times I've seen 2 refs adjudicate the same scenario, totally the opposite because of their 'interpretation'.
