Ethan kept taking the ball up without a worry knowing he was going to get bashed and never irked from his job. Right near the end of the game he caught a high kick near our try line and was heavily smashed and then 2 rucks later in the same set took a ball up into the mouth of the Warriors monster pack and pushed right through their wall of defence and his meters after contact was very impressive. This kid has some serious ticker. A real beauty.

Just wowwwww, Dylan Brown, Ray Stone, Oregon Kaufusi, Stefan Otoikamanu and now Ethan Parry coming through our junior system. And then we have juniors purchased from other NRL clubs Marata Niukore, Jaemon Salmon and Reed Mahoney and then we have our new purchasers Maika Sivo, Blake Ferguson, Waqa Blake, Kane Evans and Shaun Lane. And waiting in the NRL pipeline are more of our juniors Salesi Fainga'a and Haze Dunster. We are definitely heading in the right direction.

  • yeah he wasn’t that good to be honest .

Kept putting his hand up and having a go thought which is promising for his future if he keeps working hard and improving . He’s not ready for first grade and we really gotta hope Fergy Ferg is good to go soon

    • Maybe because the stuff he’s doing wrong is for a job for a winger. He’s a centre.

  • Looks like a keeper but not sure where when Ferguson gets back..

    • Next year in Jennings spot if he leaves.

  • Big heart and happy to dig in but some terrible decisions in defence.

    But he is learning

  • Great talent and I hope he plays every gsme on from here . Put him in the second row if  necessary!!

  • Parry isn’t a winger.

    • It will be Taka rather than Parry. Taka has been great recently.

  • Great future imo. The kid has heart, size and speed. You don't find many like him. Plus, Parry has played the last couple of years at centre and is a little rusty on the wing.

"Agree. Can not see him defending in the line at present and some of the passes I have seen him throw do not leave me with much confidence in swift and workable transition into the 6 role.
Each week Ionghi is getting better at the back, needs to work…"

LB replied to Frankie Fong's discussion A ALTERNATIVE TO GALVIN
"Exactly. Let the kid figure out NRL first and become a seasoned first grader. Why complicate it further just to try and strengthen a position that is quite frankly the least of our worries. A fullback is more important than a Five-Eighth.

"I'll say no to Iongi going to 5/8.  He's a fullback and if you're going to put him in the front line, it's going to take a lot of work to change his body shape for the extra defensive work.  That's a major commitment to turn him into a 6.   He's too…"
