Isn't the NRL serious about protecting players' heads? Flanagan's knee to Lodge's head was as deliberate as you like. It couldn't be more obvious he did it with intent. Yet why wasn't he punished accordingly? You can't tolerate that behaviour. Peni gets 3 weeks for a swinging arm that was stupid and lazy but not deliberate. Can someone explain the difference? Am I missing something?

  • Exactly. Flanagan got away with murder. Should have copped 3-4 weeks for that.

  • Just imagine if Lodge had done that to Flanagan.... would he have got of with 75 points only?

    • Yes would have been very interesting!

  • Look i have no problem with Terepo getting 3 weeks, i expected around that soon as I watched the incident live but i expected the Sharks half to at least get 2 weeks on the sideline

  • NRL just lacks consistancy in their punishments. Terepo needs to work on his discipline. So much potential, but could see his career not going where it should due to his behavior

  • Ill keep it short. Terepo has done a lot of sh!t, 3 weeks is fair. Flanagan is a 1st timer of cause he was goingto get off.

  • We've had players suspended for throwing a glass of water, nothing surprises me with the NRL.

  • The NRL know exactly what they are doing. Don't be fooled into thinking they are trying to protect players. All they are doing is giving them another way to try to control the outcomes of seasons & games. There are so many ways they control the game now with ref calls & bunker etc. If that knee to the head was from Mitch Moses he would be out for 3 weeks, end of story.

  • Its easy he plays for Parramatta

"Some players need to get sacked from a club and risk losing it all before they really knuckle down and put in the work.  Why did he get sacked, was it lack of discipline for footy and training or off field issues?"
