  • You cant underestimate anyone. Especially when you're building a new team.

I reme the previous seasons beating the Roosters and Souths and then losing to Titans and Tigers.

  • If we defend like we have been doing the first 4 rounds, then there aren't many sides that will beat us this year. Thats my guarantee. Parra by minimum 10pts.

This side we are developing will run deep this year. Comps are won on the back of defense and this side is defending like their lives depend on it.

    • Frank, i totally agree with you regarding defence efforts winning us games. However my issue lays with the fitness levels. How long before all these defensive efforts catch up to us? I just hope we manage to win some easy game to lessen the defensive load the boys have done the last few weeks.

    • I agree Tank.

Our attack was shocking yesterday, in previous years we would have got beat 30-8 in that game.

Our defense is not only good technically, it's extremely robust and physical. We can expect alot of forwards on report this year simply because they are pretty much man handling, or standing over, the oppostition pack on occassion.

There is absolutely no doubt our attack will improve over the coming rounds provided we can keep our best backline on the park (touch wood)

  • Lets wait to see who is available to play. At the moment we look like losing Mannah & Wicks thru injuries, Mau will probably be suspended & now Yobz has just blogged that Gower has been cited for coming in contact with a Referee. Thank goodness the Club currently has some reasonable depth.

  • The Panthers game will be the toughest on the players turn around wise, the tigers game was most draining on the players both physically and mentally and it will really tell where the boys are at mentally.

  • Moylan will be back for them next week I think we may have a few missing Penrith usually tough games but if we defended how we have done this year so far we should get home.
  • I'd like to see a bit more from us in attack.
Don't get me wrong our defense is awesome and defense is by far the hardest thing to get right. It's a credit to the players and coaching staff.
But our attack is pretty clunky by our own standards of previous years. If we can get that working better I think we can beat every side in the comp.
  • Panthers have been very ordinary. Moylan back is a plus for them and we might miss a few players through injury/suspension. Great thing it's at Pirtek as that will lift the players and hopefully get us home. They will offload like the Tigers did today but they don't have a Tedesco or Brooks there to capitalize. Should be a huge crowd on the back of 3 straight too, Sunday arvo battle of the West, perfect'
  • Penrith get a few back
