Back in the 90's there was a shop at Birkenhead Point that would take your vinyl LP's and digitally remaster them on to CD's. They removed all scratch and background noise and the result was absolutely pure music and voice. You can no longer do this due to copyright law changes but I put most of the music I like (great tenors, Orbison, anyone who can really sing on key and belt out top end notes) onto CD and generally play it while driving. Headset only at home due to family complaints unless everyone is out and then I let it rip. My kids all play piano and the youngest plays bass and drums as well. Never a quiet moment at our place. Youngest son is doing music for HSC and asked last night at 9pm if it was too late to practice. I never so no to music so at 9pm he let's rip with some Rachmaninoff. There is something brilliant about Italian composers/music and Puccini knows how to tug at the heart strings. I don't mind this hybrid at the moment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aIEL5P_ykE I was never exposed to the great guitarists so I am trying to Youtube everyone mentioned in the blog to broaden my horizons
I've tube amps and vinyl, the altimate analogue sound and it brings a smile on every time I put it on.
Unfortunately my son plays his keyboard with headphones so I never get to hear him. He completed his grade 8 earlier this year. 1 day I'll plug it into a small amp without him knowing ;)
At home it's either:
Spotify on PS4 -> TV -> old 25 Disc stereo
Or
Purchased music or app on Phone -> guitar amp
Its a Sony MHC V3. Its really loud shakes the windows with bass.
I'm not sure mate, I just like my music loud.
With the right music, feeling your chest being hit by bass is a great feeling :)
