Hi All,

Im only new to the site, but have been a Parra Supporter all my life since my old man gave me a Blue and Gold football when i was born.. Clearly my Dad only wanted me to follow one team, To this day thats still the greatest gift i have ever received, because i wouldn't want to be a fan of any other club than the Mighty Blue And Gold..

I can't wait for the season to begin and hopefully meet alot of you throughout the season now that im a season ticket holder finally..

Just interested if anyone else has any good stories on How and Why they became an Eels fan..

Look forward to hearing any stories..

  • I would have been booted out of the family – and the extended family – if I wasn't! Everyone goes for Parra. No excuses.
  • i was born in parramatta hospital , raised in parramatta , family all followed eels ( it was destiny) , first memory is going to cumberland oval , belmore and running onto oval to meet players , sterlo kenny, price, the crow , guru the lot , now my daughter was born into an eels made blanket .

I played league my whole life and i am strictly an eels fan for life

    cmon 2010 premiership please
  • I too was born in Parramatta Hospital and grew up as a Westie....it's like a form of Nationalty.....It was my destiny. Started following the eels at about age 6 (now 41). I spent my childhood with my am tranyy radio held to my ear....even if the eels were not broadcast, I'd be listening in to get the around the grounds updates.

My Heros back then were, Mick Cronin, Neville Glover, Ray Price, Bob O'Rielly, John Peard, Peter Wynn, Stelo, Kenny, Eric Grothe Senior and the list goes on.

Can't wait to see the boys in action in 2010.....Go the Mighty Eels.
  • The years all roll into one big memory now days, but I remember going to Cumberland oval and everyone hated Hartley, sliding down the back off the hill on empty beer box's, the dust.... the old stand (I never got to go to, we always sat on the hill).. everyone would park in parramatta park and walk over a small bridge..The vaseline the players would put on there legs and eyebrows (I think you see it in the old tooheys add) But I fell in love with PARRA at the 1977 Grand final 9 all draw.. I still get the shakes every time they play... can't help it.. I just do
  • im sorry im a raiders fan, but i dont understand how anyone can support parra, they play boring footy thats my opinion, raiders premiership 2010
  • Are you serious?

As a fan of another team I don't understand why you are here if its only to put crap on a team that has done a whole lot better than your team, especially in recent times.

Before you start on Cronulla, DON'T, as we have beaten Canberra more than they gave beaten us, including the very exciting defeat at Toyota Stadium that I witnessed at the end of 2008. I have to say Canberra were very boring in that game...
  • My entire family supports the Bulldogs, for some reason I started following the Eels when I was old enough to watch footy at around age 9. I can't really explain why I support Parra despite living with Dogs fans lol.
  • haha raiders. now thats funny
    • Hahaha raiders 2010 premiers lmao stop living in a fantasy land
  • I grew up in the shire (don't hold that against me) and went to Parra Leagues for dinner in 1986. My parents bought me a commemorative gold coin of the opening of the great stadium and I have never gone for any other team. True supporter in good times and bad!! No other way. Go the EELS in 2010. We are due

"Why would it be hush hush if they said they are upset him leaving, they haven't heard he's not leaving and media saying he's signed.
Only way it's hush hush is if he is actually staying."
