I’m hearing that the results of the Parramatta inquiry will finally be handed down within the next 24 hours.
An independent panel interviewed coaches, officials and players for weeks before putting together the report on the club’s disastrous season in which they finished second last on the ladder.
Early word is that coach Brad Arthur will survive - largely because the club doesn’t want to pay him out $1 million for 2019.
Arthur was on a more modest $800,000, but got a hefty 20 per cent pay rise after steering the cub into the top four a couple of seasons ago.
The review did show that Arthur does need help, however, and will recommend a director of football similar to the role Brian Smith plays at the Warriors and Gus Gould at the Panthers.
Another recommendation that the review rubber stamped was a clean out of the players ranks and a host of big names will be offered to rival clubs and English Super League in coming weeks.

I don’t mind BA a and done well previous season but he is not a $1m coach . If we paying him that much we should have thrown 5m at Bellamy
Bwahahaha to the dopes claiming they had the facts he was on 600k a season.
I stated he was on 800k last year and had bonusus for making the top 4 thus pushing his salary to the 900k-1m mark as it states here.
Looks like some people need to check where they are getting their facts from, looks like the TCT has their 'facts' all mixed up.
Jeez, if I was paying a bloke a million bucks to do a job I wouldn't be too pleased about having to pay another bloke to come in and help him do the job that he's getting paid a million bucks to do himself.
I highly doubt Steve Kearney's on a million bucks.
If the club is prepared to sign deals where they increase wages for fair results - such as last year - why don't they also include terms where the have the ability to review things after terrible results - such as this year.
In any other business where contracts are involved you are judged - and paid - according to results compared to targets.
A million bucks - sheeesh - no wonder they charge so much for season tickets.
Mate, how do you know for a fact that he's on 650k - seriously?
Whether it's 1 mill or 650k it is still an obscene amount to pay for utter failure - on any measure.
Oh, and if it is 650k, doesn't that strengthen the argument for getting rid of him now?
I think the club should act proactively at this point in time. I'm not at all confident that is going to be the case.
Kramerica : Yes, that is a very good point, if it is 650k get rid of him now. All coaches get obscene money for what they actually do. None are worth $ 650 k and Arthur getting $100k would be excessive based on results yet he wants more helped and the $650--$1million salary. I have said for a long time that we are in this position because of Donnerly. Now that FF is saying the same thing I must be right !!
Cheers Robbie. Hope you're well mate :)
So Robert do tell us, what constitutes a typical day for an NRL head coach, since you’re the expert ?
Doesn't seem too technical Brett......training the players for 42 weeks of the year and then getting them to deliver the club its 14th wooden spoon since 1947 - yep..... could've got that result for nothing.
Then put your hand up for the job Frank, see how far that gets you.
I’m confident your results would look crappy compared to BA’s.
