1. Hookers that blow.
You can see from the eels "performance" today and from the lacklustre cowboys effort last night how important hookers really are. I nearly say they are more important than halve's in the modern game because they get the whole team moving forward.
If your hooker blows, so does the team. I rate Granville in the top 3 hookers running around. With him missing not even the best player of all time (probably), could get his team over the line.
Kaysa showed today, as he has the last couple of weeks that he's just not up to the job for now at least. I partly blame the coach playing him for 80 mins. He's obviously knocked up at the 35 min mark and needs replacing.
2. Boring Backlines.
Take out French and our backline is limp. All we do is shovel it through the hands in hope the defence slips or makes a mistake. We don't create gaps or even half gaps. We are just to easy to handle. An organised defence is not worried in the slightest about out "backline moves.
Top team backs are not shallow shovelers any more (except the bulldogs). They are lined up deep and putting on moves with speed and some guile.
I don't know if we're treading water with Gutho until moses arrives, but what if moses gets injured? We need someone else with real flair to create chances.
Just to end on one positive note. How good is Brown. Best buy of the season.

Kaysa makes Sandows defence look solid. He also gives away the most stupid penalties.
Where would you rate him amongst the other 16 hookers in the comp?
