Home ground options for 2017

If the redevelopment of Parramatta Stadium starts in 2017 I think we should use negotiations with ANZ Stadium as an opportunity to secure a big third party deal for a player for the 2017 season (hayne). ANZ Stadium are very keen to have quality tenants and 'if' the Eels have a good 2016 (say top eight) and the stadium kicked in with a 500g tpa for Hayne they could almost guarantee an average 30 g for the two years that the Eels play at the stadium. This would give Parra time to accommodate Hayne under the cap. So this means Parra needs to be tough with their negotiations and keep all options open, but definitely some opportunities here. Also, if Hayne really does wish to return to Parra all he needs to do is have some discussions with the Waratahs and surely this will force the NRL to work with Parra on this one. Excuse the Hayne blog by stealth but I am still waiting and expecting his return. Some may say this is "like leaving the front porch light on for Harold Holt" but I live in hope. Hayne/Foran and regular 50 g crowds at the A NZ stadium and Eels a powerhouse again, both on and off the field. This could be the best opportunity since the Super League war for Parra to drastically change their fortunes. Seize the moment Sharpy.

I think you will find the ANZ stadium are already involved in some tpas with other clubs players. I think a regularly winning Eels side is quite capable of pulling a 30g average to the stadium. Any Eels supporter from the 70s 80s could vouch for the popularity of Para in Sydney. Why do you think Channel 9 has them on the tv every second week even though they haven't made the finals in five or more years? There is a huge latent supporter base. As for the Anz stadium- it is a commercial enterprise and depends upon having regular tenants pulling big crowds, so let's just assume they did put up 500 g each year their return would be realized in a short pweriod of time. Whilst I am not sure how rentals and gate takings are sorted an extra 10 g crowd each week at average $20 a ticket ( conservative) pays for itself quite quickly. I don't mind being called a moron but some of the twits here have a pretty simple outlook with no business understanding. As for Hayne not returning the the NRL- I think it is much less likely he will succeed in the NFL, so what do you think he will do then? Take up golf. So a return to the NRL is more than likely. I don't know about you but I would have thought a club that produces a once in a generation superstar would have a responsibility to it's supporters to do everything possible to ensure his return. I'm sure the Roosters or Bulldogs would. Finally, I was fortunate enough to have witnessed a successful Eels of the 80s so I have high expectations not like some of the BOYS on this site. I think it is pretty tragic that you actually expect mediocrity from your football club. I for one am waiting ( and expecting) Hayne's return to Parramatta in 2017 and how sweet it will be.
