Parra are kicking off on Easter Monday.
Nathan Davis heaves the ball down field and Bush and Twal are there for the opening tackle. Parra are too enthusiastic from that tackle though are give away the first penalty of the game for infringing the 10m mark.
Solid defence from the young Eels as the hold the Tigers out until the last before French defuses a bomb just outside his goal line.
Big struggle for metres coming out though as the Tigers race up on each tackle. Twal and Markus finally make some in roads before Dock-Clay gets away a rushed and ugly kick.
Tigers with the heavy territorial advantage at the moment.
They swing down their left edge and look to have run behind a blocker but there is no whistle from the ref. Parra hold their cool and Miski is well placed to field a grubber from Te Maire Martin (?) before Parra earn their first penalty of the game.
Twal steams in towards the posts as the Eels then set up for a big right edge movement. Clay finds French who throws a cut out to Miski but the stocky winger is taken well by the cover defence.
French I believe it was rolls the ball in on the following tackle, looking for the in goals but the Wests Tigers fullback, Alofi, is on point. Parra again concede a penalty for pushing up early.
Tigers drive the all right up to Parra's goal line from the penalty set but don't threaten too much in the red zone. They look to find a repeat set with a grubber kick but Miski I believe it was, does very well to field it in goals and then fight into the field of play.
The Eels complete a solid set after that with Clay improving on his shocker first kick by hooking the ball deftly, finding touch 12m from the Tigers' goal line.
Good tackles from Bush and Izzard this set, taking down bigger men cleanly. French comfortably takes the attacking bomb once more but is hit hard by a vigorous kick chase. A coupleo f tackles later the Eels come up with an unforced error as they push the pass down their left edge coming out of the red zone. Might have been Izzard there.
Wests Tigers have an unexpected chance here and they capitalise as their lock forward crashes over via a flat ball right under the cross bar. Silly error costing the Eels 6 points there.
The conversion is successful.
Wests Tigers lead the Eels 6-0

Awesome kickoff from Davis now. Tigers had NO clue where it was going and let it bounce dead in goals!
Parra will want to make the most of this opportunity.
Alex Twal takes the first charge and is followed by Tom Amone. Izzard brings the ball to Clay who then links up with French who makes a half break and is pulled down metres before the goal line. Parra then come down their left but the Tigers repel them.
Dockar-Clay grubbers on the last and hits the upright. The Eels regain possession but are tackled short of the line for at turnover. The ref fidns a penalty in there after the tackle. Not sure what for though.
Tigers go close to scoring again, this time through some second phase ball but the Eels hold them up over the line.
Time off for a wounded Tiger by the looks of things.
The ball comes out 10m for the resumption of play and the Tigers roll the ball into the in goals for a repeat set. The eels bat it dead but there must have been offside chasers as we come away with a penalty.
Twal and Markus make useful gains to get the Eels into the Tigers' half. French injects himself down the left beating two or three defenders as he steps back to the centrefield. Playing what is in front of him now as he chips for himself and earns a penalty for getting run of the ball.
Amone takes the first carry and Twal nearly scores on the next play. Clay has no choice to run against hugely offside defenders but there is no call.
On the next play French takes the ball down the left and kicks in behind. This one is damn close! Reimis Smith gets there first and slams the ball down but the touchy has ruled it touched the line! Gee that was very, very close.
20m restart ruled but Twal is challenging the call!
The call is upheld after a few looks and the Eels lose their challenge.
Parra defend solidly from the 7 tackle set and Miski shows a good set of hands to defuse another kick but he leaped from the field of play so it will be a line drop out.
Brandaon Raeli is on now for Tom Amone bu the looks of it.
Tui Oloapu cleans up a very poor pas from the Tigers and steals 30m! Good work from the young centre.
Twal makes another charge before French gets wrapped up chiming in down the left - one of the few times the Tigers have contained him.
Izzard puts a cute bomb up on the last and even though the Parra chasers are run off the ball, the black'n'gold custodian spills the ball! Reimis Smith says thank you as he laps it out and dives over for as easy as a try he will score.
Oh my, are the Tigers challenging the call? And some how they have over turned it! How? Will need some one watching the Fox coverage to explain that!
Oh for fucks sakes! They are ruling that Davis took out a defender? Hot damn that is an awful call.
