Trent Hodkinson has signed a 3year contract worth $800,000 with the bulldogs....
Also when Kevin Moore was asked about Keating he did say they were very intrested in him to join Hodkinson but Keating was keen to stay put here at the eels....
What I dont get is why would he want to stay here yet at parra if they stil havent offered him a contract?
I know that parra are waiting to see what they can do with cronk but in my eyes i see it as a very sad and nervous time for keating as the poor kid is waiting on the fate of cronk and where he goes...
if cronk was to come here would keating be shown the door?
Another thing how will this whole saga with keating not been offered at contract affect him on field?
knowing that parra only want him if they cant get cronk?
I know id feel like shit knowing that i may not be wanted for someone else and that im only offered a contract cos the other player they wanted they couldnt afford.

I keep hearing that its fine to pay Mortimer what we are because he is just young and learning his trade and is going to come good, but isn't it really the equivalent of paying an apprentice a tradesman's wage?
If he is learning his trade then he really should be doing it in reserve grade, but the fact is there are not enough halfbacks running around so unless you play a young guy early he is going to leave your club to play elsewhere and not only that you have to pay him a fair bit too - simple supply and demand.
It's a bit of a shame for the viewer though who pays their own hard earned cash to watch a kid learn how to attack the line and kick for position.
I've heard nothing to suggest that KK's deal won't get done. It would be lunacy for the club to let him go.
hope we sign humble up before it gets out hes half decent or we will loose him or have to fork out big $$ just like with mortimer and keating.
