Regardless of how shit he's been, Eels need a back up for 2024 after Rein retired.
As for the remainder of this year, I hope Asi trains as a hooker for when Brown returns. Asi would make a great utility. I see Hopgood played hooker the last 10 mins today but I hope that's not BA's mid term bright idea because Hopgood makes the team so much better when he stays at lock.

I know a bloke, Parra enquired about him at the backend of last year.
He was changing managers and his old manager failed to tell him 6 clubs were enquiring .
He played for Ireland in the World Cup, played very well, he played all his lower grade footy at Souths before a year at the dogs Joshua Cook.
quality defender with terrific service, a few injuries have curtailed him but he's very handy.

Going by Hodgson own comments it was an option in boths favours with differing salaries I.e. Hodgson has a dud season he can take his option with a lower salary, If parra were desperate to keep him they could've used there option for a greater salary.
