Hmmm Ticketing Prices

So a few months back when i renewed my family membership the accompanying letter stated that prices would increase however still competitive and offers great value for money etc etc.

Last year there was a clear financial advantage for being a ticketed member but with the announcement today the prices are close to on par.

Now i am not suggesting that ticketed members tickets should be considerably cheaper and overall this is a great win however i am a bit concerned that members are told that they need to pay more and today non members can get a generous saving.

I would appreciate peoples thoughts on this. Am i just whinging and is this a great win for all or does it seem a bit contradictory?

  • The advantage of having season tickets is you get the same seat for every home game plus you get first crack when the new stadium opens.

    I haven't looked into it but my guess is that these discounted seats that are now on offer would be in the less desirable seats anyway.

    I think I paid $230 for category 2 seats which is roughly $20 a game to sit on the 40 mtr line, that's pretty good value.

  • General admission tickets from $20 for an adult and $40 for a family on all pre-purchased tickets;
    Free entry for juniors 12-and-under on a pre-purchased adult ticket, with four children entitled to entry on every adult ticket purchased;
    All tickets to include the cost of return train travel to Olympic Park – with two Direct Trains to and from Olympic Park to run at each game;
    Family-friendly, value-based food and beverage offers at ANZ Stadium outlets for every game.

    All 4 clubs that use the venue, Parra, Dogs, Souths and Tigers are offering it, imo it is a good thing particularly kids under 12 get in free with a paying adult.

  • I live in qld n those prices r better then here
  • It’s just ridiculous the prices they demand for you to watch the game you love, it hasn’t been the blue collar game for years. You just wait and see what the tickets will be worth once the new stadium is built.

  • Im still confused about the priority allocation letter i got?!

    • The longer you have been a ticketed member the higher you will be on the priority list but if you add an extra person or more to your group you will drop down to their order of priority if they have been members for fewer years.

  • So with the $40 family tickets is actually cheaper for me to buy them rather than a GA membership for the family at $499 as there are 11 games at ANZ x $40 = $440

    • buy they don't get the hat and keyring.
