Historical Perspective

This is my first contribution.

I have reflected on the time I have followed the Eels, 1976-2018, having defected from the Roosters as a 7YO with John Peard.

The Golden Period for me is 1976-1981, including smaller achievements such as the Panasonic Cup win in 1980 and the run of Club Championships.

Then it struck me, Parra has not won a competition in a National Competition as we know it/known it.

The 1986 ladder read:

2001 & 2005, we were Minor Premiers but came away empty handed just like we did in the 2009 Grand Final from 8th position.
