Hindy to weigh up rep tour

Nathan Hindmarsh will consult his coach Daniel Anderson and club doctor Michael Johnson before deciding whether to tour with the Kangaroos, despite his selection in the Australian side. While telling The Daily Telegraph it was "awesome" that he had been selected, after having basically given up on rep football, Hindmarsh said he wanted to ensure it didn't interfere with his off-season. "I have been told (surgery) would mean six to 10 weeks doing nothing. I'll have to weigh it up. I had a good pre-season and off-season before this year. I dropped 6kg and was at the fittest I have ever been. I don't want to go backwards in that area." "I was readying myself for a good pre-season - and to get stuck into the weights." • He's probably having very mixed feelings about it I bet. Having not won a premiership yet having done everything else in the game at State and National level, I'm sure he is very tempted to have the shoulder operation now and be ready for one of his 3 remaining tilts at an NRL premiership
  • Maaaate... Go hard Hindy!! As much as I would live to see him at his best for our team.. he deserves the best for himself. I guess its what he wants most for himself. A premiership is more likely if he can be his best for parra, but not as certain as a rep jumper. Whateve he chooses.. all the best too him!
  • Yeah whatever you choose, operation or test footy .All parra fans will be proud of you and you deserve it!!!!
  • Sir Nathan Hindmarsh we are sure you will make the right decision. watching parra lose last week was not nearly as bitter as 2001. the obvious disappointment in hindys, burts and calyess' faces on the other hand were heartbreaking. bring these boys the trophy!!!!!!
