PARRAMATTA'S modern day Mr Perpetual Motion Nathan Hindmarsh has been named co-captain for the Eels as he prepares to break club legend Brett Kenny's record of 265 games for the blue and gold.
Hindmarsh and best mate Nathan Cayless will be Parramatta co-captain's when the desperate Eels host South Sydney at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.
The move has been designed by coach Daniel Anderson as a mark of respect for the workaholic backrower, who has achieved every honour in rugby league apart from winning a grand final ring.
Intriguingly, Eels coach Daniel Anderson is yet to declare whether the move is only a temporary measure for the South Sydney game or if the added responsibility could become a regular routine.
Long-serving Eels captain Cayless announced he will retire at the end of this season midway through last week after continued pressure surrounding his standing in the team.
The struggling Eels may opt to go with the dual responsibility of having co-captain's for the rest of the season as Anderson searches for answers to arrest the lethargic start to 2010.
