Hindy definitely retiring at 2012 season end?

just watched the Facebook questions for round 26 on EEL REELS, one of the questions was about if Hindy wanted to still captain the side next year, Sharpies response was that next years Hindys last and he definitely does want to have the (c) next to his name next year. I'm wondering if this is the final decision, if it's Hindys decision, cause I did hear him say in an interview he was going to see how he feels at the end of 2012 and if Parra wanted to keep him beyond then. but by the sounds of this 2012 will be Hindys last year in the Mighty Blue & Gold.

  • I will not accept anything less than a premiership for Hindy... if there is one person in league that deserves it, it's Hindy... Glad to hear he wants the captaincy too.. I was a bit 50/50 with him.. I remember when he first was given the co captaincy he said it was something he didn't really want, but I guess he is growing into it... C'mon Hindy.. one more year after 2012.. you can do it, and beat Lockyers record while yer at it!
  • It'll be sad to see him go. He's been my favourite player since I started watching footy. Hopefully we can send him off with a premiership. We did it for Ray Price and Mick Cronin, we can do it for Hindy. Especially seeing as we couldn't do it for Cayless we have to do it for Hindy.
  • he is a god. if they push him out the eels can get f....d. time to support another code. after all he has done i would say hindy leave when you are good and ready. petero is 50 and still playing. sk needs to protect him next year with (hopefully) a better team around hindy
  • Thoughts change, so do feelings. He may continue, he may not, its up to him. We won't really know till towards the end of next season.
  • I think he deserves a statue next to Pricey!
  • Unless his arthritis overcomes him I can't see it happening if they have a winning year next year.

After this year I wouldn't blame him for not coming back next year.

A few wins might push him on.

I think he might have been given a bit of a friendly notice from the club.

I would love to see him go over 350 games and stay to 2013

"Blore is average. We are top heavy for forwards, very light on in the backs, now you want to get rid of two backs for an average forward. I'm glad Mon is part of the recruitment team, and not you."
