In that respect, I'm almost glad we didn't win on Friday. At least now, the boys can just focus on sending off our mighty captain and the departing boys away with a final win. And we don't have to sit through the week, wondering about this result or that result.
I hope the top eight doesn't change. They're the best eight teams in the comp this year and I think its a very fair reflection of the competition.

The eight that are there have been the form teams all year. The only one i would like to see not make it through to the finals though, is Brisbane, they need to know what it feels like to be disappointed before a final series, and sit and watch 8 other teams battle it out!
Having said that i hope Penrith gets up so at least then the West can lay claim to something this year (also we can hold our heads up high and remind their fans that we came back from 22 down to smash them).
Don't get me wrong, I hate losing and I want us to win, it's just that I want the guys to give it a bloody big dig more. As long as we compete hard, give the Warriors a shake and don't dish up another Rabbitoh type performance I'll be happyish.
If they send Cayless out like the Roosters did for Fitzgibbon, I will be filthy. This mediocre application and form that has kind of become a bit entrenched in our team's culture needs to change. I don't see a better time to start than now! Let's not wait until half way through next year can we.
We just didn't play well enough ALL year.
PS: Eels FOREVER!
I guess with the other results that went against us though, the win would have been vain.
But a part of me would have kept hoping till the end of next week had we won.
