Highlights DVD

Hello all how are we? I havn't posted for a while as iv'e tried to put my head away from Rugby League as much as possible however it is becoming increasingly harder to do as we get closer to the season.I was wandering around MYER on XMAS eve looking for last minute gifts and found the Parramatta Eels 2009 season highlights DVD, I didn't actually realise a dvd had been made of the season, you beauty I thought and it was added to my old man's Xmas stocking. I had a free night yesty and with nothing on the T.V I saw the DVD sitting there and thought why not?The DVD is set out with highlights of every game of the season, the further through the season we go the more highlights are included on the dvd. The DVD is voiced by Andrew Voss and in general is quite well done. I have to say I didn't watch the whole dvd as I am not yet ready to watch highlights of the GF, I actually have it all saved on my I.Q at home but havn't stomached a sit through just yet.Anyways I thought i'd make some points on what I saw throughout our mighty season.1. The potential was there from the start, there were the occasional flashes of brilliance during the opening 10 rounds or so, usually off the back of Mateo or Hayne. Yet it wasn't done consistently enough.2. I think a major factor in us struggling to be consistent in attack, came off the fact that we were pitiful in defence and thus were too afraid to throw the ball around incase we would turn it over, and have to try and hold teams out again.3. Thank F@*% Brett Finch left4. Our attack was greatly improving after KK went to 7, and it once again stalled when he and Mateo got injured in round 10 against Manly. It then took us a few more rounds to find our fluency in attack with Robson coming into the team.5. Further on KK, he is our answer at 7 for next season, for all the doubters just wait. He and Mortimer will be destructive around the middle of the park with Hayne calling the shots from the back. KK has more natural talent than Mortimer and could prove to be the better player imo.6. Jarryd Hayne is a Freak in every sense of the word. I'd forgotten half the shit he managed to do during the year, was an absolute pleasure to watch again. And it's not just the chip overs or the magical stepping, a lot of the impressive stuff comes from the small things like sensing where gaps in the defense were, the cut out passes, 40/20's etc etc incredible7. Kevin Kingston could be the buy of the season for the Panthers. He could play Origin for Queensland. And he is the Biggest challenge for Jarryd Hayne going back to back in the Dally M's. (I was being dead serious about the first 2)8. I also forgot how good Luke Burt was over the final 10 rounds, he was exceptional even for a veteren he still has a big bag of tricks that are effective in the modern game. Hopefully he can continue that into the future9. Fui has the chance not only to cement himself as the best prop in the game next season, but also to cement himself as one of the best players. His impact is phenomenal, I just hope Ando can find a balance between himself Cayless and Poore that will suit the team.10. Finally and this is the first iv'e really thought about this, if we continue to play so well next season and are near the top of the ladder I think its inevitable that we will have players picked for the representative calender. If on form, I think it's not unrealistic that we could have upwards of 6 or 7 key players playing origin. Depth for us could be a major factor, hopefully we can do as Melbourne have done so well over the last 4 years and recover. Can't Wait.
