Here comes the 3P charm offensive.

Today the club is going to announce a new sponsor. It has lined up our newest employee Luke Burt as well as Ricky Stuart to be on hand at the sponsor announcement. What the coach or our Welfare and Player Education Officer have to do with announcing a new sponsor, I’m not quite sure. But anyway!

We’ve already read in another blog how the club is now finally promising a new big screen and I’m sure it won’t be the last “good news story” we’re going to hear before the end of the year given the upcoming election. Roy will no doubt be out kissing babies as well.

It will be interesting to see what other "make-goods" 3P comes up with. Clearly there still has to be some signing news and I reckon they could even belatedly appoint a football CEO, especially now that the NRL seems to be pressuring clubs to go that route.

  • For sure, i find it pretty funny that the new big screen went in on the last week of the regular season too.

But the sad thing is that Sharps ticket doesnt look much better either, i think its gonna be same old stuff who ever gets inim starting to think we are doomed at that level, its not looking good Phil..

    • i mean its not to hard to do some investigation into Sharps right hand man Tom Issa, basically a used car salesman, Tom is all vocal about handing the Dundas Valley Vikings club back to the people of Dundas n he wants our club to fund it to keep it afloat and get nothing in return, this is the business equivalent of suicide n throwin money away, that doesnt sound very smart at all Tom,we have paid off millions in debts that vikings had run up and also poured in 6 MILLION into the black hole that vikings is, what the hell is goin on with our club atm?

anyway sorry for taking this a bit off topic, but im just worried both ways.

It looks like its baby kissing season Phil, its all on, but if i had a baby those blokes are the last blokes id let kiss it lol..

  • I don't understand how you guys can link this to an upcoming ellection, the season is barely over, we're in the middle of a finals series, the FC club AGM isn't until  December, a good 3 months away, we're 1 day after an awards night and the club will announce a sponsor with the inclusion of 2 important appointments to the club...clubs release media announcements every day of the week, how is this any different?

I think it's more to do with boosting memberships after a horrible season rather than a 'kissing babies' routine..by the way, isn't the new screen a stadium trust (or whatever their called now) announcement? ..

    • are you blind henrys d????

youre either naive or bob bentley under a pseudonym....

3 months to an election - perfect time to start campaigning so short memories can look at the pretty lights and forget the fk up that is 3p!

Phil - feel like a hint re; the new sponsor??

    • I think you got this one wrong Henry.

    • Guys, I raised a concerned in another blog about the lack of candidates in the other ticket, I'm more than open for change if people can convince me that the other mob are better but from what I see at the moment they offer nothing, maybe I'm going off too early but all I can see from our challengers is a Dennis Fitzgerald controlled board.. Next time you see sharp or Issa ask them who chairs their meetings.
  • Can everyone please ignore the post above^^^^^^

    Henry's clearly got no idea.
  • Reading Hindy's book it's interesting to see that Fitzgerald was relatively removed from the team and football club. He did his thing in the Leagues Club and left the team to the coach. Once Osborne came in, the Board became more and more involved with the team and began interferring with the coach. I think the Board needs to distance themselves from team operations and leave that to the coach. That will stop so many leaks about the team because you can say what you don't know.

  • If they announced the signing of sbw, Ben barba, t-Rex , kasiano, or even god himself, it still wouldn't be enough to get my vote, and it shouldn't be enough to get anyone's vote. Anyone thinking of voting these unprofessional bunch of baboons should just have a think about how much they have shamed our great club over the past few years. They have embarrassed us as fans, as a club, and as a community. As Sonia Kruger says it's time to go 3p. And good riddance.
  • see what happens when the team stops playing, the armchair football experts become armchair political experts.
