I think this really gets back to the core of where the attitude adjustment with our club needs to be at. Really, if a club is going to be a contender for a competition, literally no one should feel there place in the NRL side is safe and that if you don't produce your A Game every week, you should just expect that your going to be playing for Wenty next week. And then when your at Wenty if you don't do what Matt Ryan has done and work your arse off and shine in that side, you shouldn't expect to be coming back up either.
I realise I'm sounding like a broken record and seem to be endlessly defending the coach - I think I have an instinctive reaction to come to the support of the down-trodden - but this is one area that Kearney has improved over the last 12 months is we do have more depth, which was something that really slid in the lead-up to him arriving. Players like Matt Ryan and Joseph Paulo were brought in and have since graduated to first grade, and it's only because of that, we have the situation where some players who might consider themselves first-graders aren't getting the shot.
And I think this has had a lot to do with the dis-chord. If you take both the days of Michael Hagan and Daniel Anderson, it was harder to get out of the team than it was to get into it. I think the fact that there are competition for spots is part of the thing that has caused some of the dis-chord within the side. It has to become part of playing for the Eels that you come into the squad, and unless you're outstanding week-in, week-out there is an expectation with that, that you will spend time playing for Wentworthville.

We want players who go back to wenty and prove they are good enough for NRL and play out of thier skin and demand to be picked back in the NRL based on thier form.
For too long players have been dropped and go back to Wenty and kick stones in the carpark it's about instilling a hungry culture at the club, hungry for success. SK is on the right track.

The cry from fans for information has been going out - UNHEARD and UNANSWERED - for way too long.
The only info we get on the team generally comes from the media which also "generally" is more interested in headlines than fact.
A bit of PR from the powers that be would not go astray.
I'm not sure about being dropped if your not bringing your A-game every week like you mention there 1eyed Eel.
I agree however that there needs to be consistent effort displayed. Blokes like Blair, Sio, Ryan, Paulo have taken the first grade opportunity and run with it and there are doing wonders for thier job security. The old heads could use a bit of thier enthusiasm.
The problem with dropping people is that not everyone reacts the same way when dropped. Not everyone has the same self motivation as say a Luke Burt, who just put his head down, gives no-nonsense and puts in every effort to getting back into the squad.
Sandow, being the confidence player he is seems like he may be a bit more fragile, I'll believe it when i see if but i don't think this will do to much good for his confidence and instead of aleviating some pressure off him Kearney has in fact increased media pressure and scrutiny on him.
You talk about enthusiasm - i would love to see it come out of Kearney but the guy seems like he has to talk like Bennet and coach like Nathan Brown.....
I am really dissappionted with the club as whole at the moment and it seems we are curled up on the ground and getting kicked by everyone who walks past....
We really ned to get this club back on track - and for it to happen in Hindys last year makes me sick!!
We have depth? In which parallel universe? Most of our starting 17 couldn't get a run in another 1st grade side.

Does this go for board members, trainers and conditioners and the coach as well?
There should be an expectation moving forward of perform or move on. If the players are to be held accountable then this should be the yardstick for everyone involved at the club.
