  It's pretty simple. There is no way the video Ref can consistently call forward passes unless they are in line from the point of the pass. Even then the rule is the ball only has to pass backwards from the hands but can still float forward. Sure there are forward passes that are very obvious to call from anywhere on the field but the argument last year with the bunker was it was getting involved on an inconsistent and bias basis and therefore they stop calling forward passes.

  Bunker shouldn't have to, if the crowd can see a forward pass why can't the 4 f#ckers out there

    Brown was 2ft in front of Napa when the ball hit his arm anyway . Should've been a forward ruling , Eels ball .

    Mate, that happens just about every game, if the ball hits the defenders hand while he is making the tackle it is deemed as playing at the ball

  For starters the forward pass rule is to grey . I mean some forward passes are allowed unde the rules , so how's a referee supposed to rule whether it was one of the forward passes that are allowed or not without seeing whether the players hands are slightly tilted backwards when he threw it or not or whether the player was running at a speed so high it was impossible for him to throw the ball backwards and it was one of those forward passes that isn't classed as forward because some moron somewhere stated that if you fly your plane at 800kmph and throw a ball backwards it's gunna float forward . ?
  
  This bullshite where some halfback lobs the ball 40m across the paddock when he's 5 meters before the line and the winger catches it 10m after the line is still a fuckig forward pass FFS , whether he was running at 10kmph or the speed of light , the ball goes forward it's fuckig forward for crying out aloud , there is no way on this earth that a player is running fast enough for these lengths of ball projection can be ruled the way they are ruled . The rules of the game need simplifying massively .

  Forward passes should be any ball that is caught in front of where the person threw the pass from. The hands pointing back BS as is every other excuse and only increases the angst for fans.

  The faster you are running the further back you need to pass to allow for any potential ball flowing forward.

  Then the bunker can adjudicate the same as they do for offside. Mind you Im not guaranteeing that the bunker still wont fk up.

    ever heard of momentum? if u are running with a ball in hand, try dropping the ball behind u, do u think it stays there? no it still go forward at the speed u were running.... Any long pass thrown when on the run will float forward

  How would you fix the problem, esp forward passes out of dummy half.
