He's Not The Next Sterlo ........

He's not. He's the current Kieran Foran. With all of the talk or thoughts about him being the great saviour for Parramatta, my expectation is simple. I expect him to be himself. He has been recruited for the skills that he possesses and what he can bring to the team. His role is an important one and his skills match that role.Forget about any comparison. Forget about past number 7s. Ignore the inevitable paper talk when he runs out with the number 7 on his back. This bloke has earned the right to not be in the shadow of any other player, no matter how great that player was.Hes not the Messiah. He's just a quality player.

  • He might not be the messiah. as long as he's not just a naughty boy.

    • Indeed Alan. That was the last bloke.
    • Holy grail.
  • I expect him to add more steel and resolve to our side. But above all composure and the ability to constantly do the little things right. I look forward to no longer seeing us getting caught on the fifth tackle with a prop doing a settler. The game awareness he brings is sorely needed. We don't need flashy we need consistency someone we can rely on and look to in pressure situations. I beleive the Eels will put some big scores on sides next year but I'm more interested to see how we respond in a game when there's two points in it with 15 mins to go, that's where we'll see the benefits of his signature.
    • To me that's him. My resolve is to not compare him to anyone. He already has the qualities we need to make a positive impact.
  • Totally agree with u 60s boy.,, he's the full package for parra, him and Corey Norman in my opinion could lethal!!! But .,. What manly did have was great centres, which helped Foran , parra haven't got a classy centre, unless we sign that centre we need ASAP , to really help 6,7!!!!
    • Agree to a certain extent Ray, but I think the centre doesn't need to be classy, as long as the edge forward is running or looking to run into holes off Forans shoulder. That puts enough doubt to give a FG centre a great advantage.

And this year we will have some great hole runners for Foran to pass too or cutout. Scott and Tep will love running off him and I expect to see some tries from these two close to the line.
    • Our right side attack is our missing piece as it stands. Gutherson looks like a player of the future but I have to be realistic and go with a wait and see there. If another centre signing comes to fruition, it will enhance my confidence.
    • I don't think either of the Cowboys centre's were particularly classy, yet they still won the comp through creative play maker's & a very solid forward pack
    • Not to mention perhaps the best support playing fullback in the business behind him.
