Hayne wins Ken Thornett Medal

Jarryd Hayne has, not surprisingly added the Ken Thornett Medal, as Parramatta player of the year to his list of honours. Daniel Mortimer took home Rookie of the Year while Joel Reddy won the Coach's Award. Club legend Nathan Hindmarsh was Clubman of the Year. In NYC, Roosters-bound lock Jason Baitieri was Player of the Year with Daniel Galati picking up the Coach's award. And for Wentworthville, Justin Horo was player of the year with Brendan Oake taking home the Coach's Award. All well deserved by Hayne, Hindmarsh, Reddy and Mortimer.

I'm glad Justin Horo is also being recognised. He is a forward of real quality, can't wait 'till he makes First Grade.

  Luke Burt should have got a medal - 'littlest bloke with the biggest heart'. In many of the earlier games this year he stood tallest on the field.
