I feel the hayne express is about to fire up , Confidence would have been boosted by the hot win over the whinging cheats , Looking at 2009 reels are a reminder of the commitment and determination in our side , yes we have had a few changes , but we are stronger  and more experienced from it . Also the added muscle of tahu and poore , with shacks an outside chance of a return . And bolstered by horo, humble and co  as well .  I have no doubts that the train is warming  up and tomorrows game will only increase the mentality of the team . With eels fans cheering them on each week ( no silence please) thats when they do fall asleep .  I feel we are easily capable of going 1 better . Here  are 10 motivational  reasons of why i feel so strong ..

1.cayless , to send him out in style
2.mateo, final year  with us
3.Inu , final year with us
4. Eels have the motovation and inspiration of 2009
5. Eels will want  redeption for GF 2009 ,not just last weeks win , they want to prove they can do it
6. We have more skills and size
7. Hindy and burt  -  Eels want them to have the greatest memory as they farewell cayless
8. melbourne and dogs  are out   HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
9. The teams that are our only main threats  are , manly, dragons, penrith , souths , broncos - in saying this  on our day we wont be stopped ( refer to 2009 highlight reel, have the team watch it   before each match  EELS )
10 . To do it for the fans ,themselves , and the club

  • haha i LOVE your positive thinking. The thing is what you've listed are the reasons WHY they should be fired up and winning it this year, but it doesnt mean that it will happen. I really hope it does, we just need to be more consistent because seriously i never know what team is going to rock up to the game!!!

p.s. i am as happy as you that the dogs are out but i dont want to jinx it just yet incase they pull off what we did last year. So in a few losses time when its impossible for them to make the 8, ill start celebrating :)
  • dogs=goneskiesss and we will beat them in a few weeks just to make sure :)
  • Did anyone hear Phil Gould on the Sunday Roast? He was talking up the current Panthers fullback for State of Origin saying Hayne doesn't make the players around him look great cause he doesn't give support. And Hayne has been unable to bring his fantastic club form to State of Origin. Does he realise that Hayne is playing in an average NSW team.
    • and does he realise that was Haynes first time as NSW fullback.

Gould is a friken joke. I am officially sending him an abusive email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • And Does he remember Hayne was NSW Man of the Series playing out of position? When he demands the ball at the Eels, they give it to him. Not so with the NSW team.
    • But i agree that Hayne needs to support more. He could learn from Slater in that regard.
      • I personally think at rep level, Jarryd would be more effective at five-eighth.
        • +1

He looked the most dangerous on Wednesday when he was up in the line playing like a half. Hayne should be the one making things happen for others, not vice versa.
  • One rumour I have heard is that Gus has said he would NOT be adverse to coming back to coach the Blues - so if he is already talking Hayne down and another guy as SOO fb then beware.

Hayne has not produced anywhere near his best so far this year but was about the only Blues player trying to get some go forward in SOO game 2.
Somebody should tell the blues it is supposed to be the full 13 guys on the field that should be doing that.

Can't disagree with any of your reasons MEE 2010 - hope the players see it the same way.
    • yeah on the Sunday Roast he said that he wouldnt mind being a selector if he was asked. He also said he would possibly consider being a coach but not under the current administration.

I swear Gould changes his mind every friken 5 seconds. Its pretty fresh of him bagging Hayne out when up until a few days ago he was kissing his ass on every single parra commentary talking him up like he thought Hayne was god. He's just a twit sometimes seriously. He literally goes with the flow and acts like hes been saying it THE WHOLE TIME. Ive never heard him bag Hayne yet now he talks as if these 'deficiencies' of Haynes was something he knew all along. Friken imbecile.

      Woosah!
