Jarryd is now just reaching his prime. Slater & Smith are 31, both great players, but winding down.
Finally, he is playing in a club team where he's not trying to help us avoid the spoon, or make a miracle run for the finals. Haven't felt this way since the golden years, when we won club championship after club championship. 7 in a row, I believe. - The players coming through now, the coaching team in BA, Murphy & Gentle, plus the quiet achiever, DA. Parra is headed back to the top for a lengthy stay.
How many unicorns on here would have been ecstatic to be floating around midfield on the table about now? - Let alone 2 points off the competition lead after the halfway mark?? - The growth factor in this team is exponential. The second half of the year can only be better as the team gels. BA is a genius & as someone on this site said you will never be a good coach until you can manage men, ala Bennett & Gibson

Hayne is doing exactly the same things he has always done I think, maybe others are noticing more because he has a better team around him.
BA has got our team playing like a team and this takes the pressure off Hayne and lets him concentrate more on his job.
Also BA said right at the onset Hayne would play in his preferred position.
When was the last time he went into in SOO game knowing he was playing fullback right from the start? Other times ridiculously not even being selected.Validation has brought out the best in him.
