Yes I am quick . what a game by our man Hayne . He has grown as a player in maturity and is definitely back to what I believe is better than 2009 form . He continues to prove his value and what strength to beat inglis ,smith and Thurston . His defence was outstanding and he killed QLD himself .
What an absolute champion . Now I admit I said last year that hayne has to continue his best form to match Brett Kenny , We all know just what a champion Kenny was , the only player Wally lewis had nightmares over and even stated that . Kenny was Australias best like hayne was in the world cup , Kenny played in the invincibles , Hayne played in what some say is the equal but I say the old days were tougher . Hayne shows his skills at origin , Kenny did as well . So can we separate and come up with the best ? This is a tough one and Kenny is a true legend . Does Hayne match Kenny or does he need to continue for his entire career ? I cant remember watching Kenny have a bad match .
Hayne has beaten what some say is the best ever QLD team . And NSW only lost last year when he did not play . This is a tough one . I now bight my words and say Hayne is Kennys equal now .
Last year I said hayne had to shine and was not close but after this seasons efforts he deserves the right to be equal with Brett Kenny and I would think Bert would agree , I think they are equal in skill, speed, talent and professionalism . Hayne does have size over Kenny but I just dream thinking of what they would be like in the same side , hell QLD would never win a game .
I ask you to look at the facts , the results , the stats !!!
Kenny scored a try in every final , 2 tries in 4 GF but yes 1986 his 2 tries disallowed . He killed the poms and world cup many times over , he beat the king wally lewis in every single battle , but hayne has GI to battle and silly slater . Can you separate them ? who was the best ? Are they equal ?

scary thing is he can get better. He seems to be a late bloomer in regards to captaincy etc but he will be one of the best !
Kenny played in a lot better teams than jarryd has.
I love Kenny as a player, one of the greats, but Hayne is a class above in just about every department, Put Kenny in weaker teams and he wouldnt have had the impact week in week out.
Jarryd also has a lot more size and strength, a better kicking game, better defence, a better pass, Jarryd has Kenny covered easy.
Haynes the greatest Eel in history, and ive been saying that for a long time.

Have to agree Snake. Hayne is the best ever.
Kenny made 12-25 tackles per game. Hayne makes 3-5: granted they are crucial tackles. Would he make a big an impact in attack if he had to tackle more. Last time he played five eighth his attacking game suffered. Kenny also played in weaker teams. Lets face it 88 to 92 was hardly a golden era. Like Hayne he carried the team on his back then.
Does Hayne have a better kicking games yes. More size yes. Better defence - not when he has to do a lot of it . A better pass -honours even. Better swerve or step- No but not far behind.
Nathan Hindmarsh is probably the greatest Eel. A lot of players can score tries. Very few many make >10,000 tackles. Constant effective defence in all situations is where you find true greatness.
Not sure if Jarryd has Kenny 'covered easily'.
But, like Kenny, Hayne has the Qld'ers shitting themselves!
