Marquee player allowance. Allowed to allocate up to $600k to a player from a 3rd party even if that 3rd party is affiliated with the club.
How fortunate they didn't seem to think they needed to use this extra salary cap allowance in 2016 to rebuild the club and then out of nowhere along comes Jarryd Hayne like a lady of the night looking for a mega rich marquee deal . Astute planning by the Titans if you ask me .
To be fair, they would have had all the MPA money allocated to DCE, and they've been under the cap all year as a result of that falling through so they wouldn't have had to dip into that.
It's not a TPA, its an MPA. They are a Gold Coast sponsor.
