Phil Gould should be looking after his own nest before worrying about whats happening at Parramatta. Penrith under clearly aren't exactly traveling like contenders!

Hayne said in the paper that he's restricted due to the strapping on his knee. He runs better without it but that would increase re-injury risk. The more he plays on it the better it'll get.
If hayne is restricted, but can still play, then maybe he should move to the centres, seeing they don't get much ball anyhow, and get sio at fullback

He may not need an operation but he sure needs time off to get this injury right. Blind Freddy can tell that the knee is not right. It looked bad the night it happened and that collapse in round three was worrying. He is our only elite player and we cannot win multiple games unless he is fit. Even if we lose every game (which we would) he needs time to get this right before it becomes chronic and the deeds of 2009 become distant memories
Gus said in commentary he needed surgery. Kearney and then even Hayne said afterwards that wasn't right. I phoned Gus: he said Hayne had told him he needs an arthroscope.
"Mitch is getting old if he starts agitating for a release prob not the worst thing for the club, but we'll cross that bridge if it ever comes. He seems happy to be an eel but he just can't stay healthy "
"The Pathways is coming along fine. WE are definately getting to see plenty of kids with potential . WE need to ensure that they are still surrounded by quality seasoned pros in NSW CUP etc. These kids are moving very quickly from Sg Ball to Cup…"

Actually quite irresponsible of Phil to say anything if not absolutely certain.
This could jeopardise Hayne's chances of playing origin this year if Stuart buys into it.
