  • 49'ers have confirmed via Twitter.
  • Well what a shame :). Maybe it's just karma after the way he treated our beloved club. The #38 jersey buyers have just purchased a new car rag. LOL.

I'm tipped uncle Nik will have a very wry smile in the upcoming weeks.
  • Wow, the 49ers must be close to the worst run team in the NFL. Why even sign him to start with if they have no idea how to use him? Maybe the Seahawks will pick him up, Pete Carroll has a high opinion of Hayne.
  • I suppose we will potentially find out who Jarryd Hayne is...

The Eels accommodated his dream, releasing him a year early - leaving us up sh*t-creek at the same time. Will he do right by the Eels, if given the opportunity.

In addition, will the NRL step up and help the Eels should the opportunity present?
    • I think if he decided to come back Grant will try to appease Politits and gift him to the Roosters, but it all comes down to the man and who he chooses.
  • I reckon it is still very unlikely he will be back - in the next 12 months anyway. His dream was to play NFL - not necessarily for the shitty 49ers. It will only take another team to pick him up and it's all on again.

Funny how karma has been mentioned. People shouldn't wish bad things on others - that's how karma works ffs :))

I can't see him returning to The Roosters - that would be an extremely bad look for the game in general. It would more likely prove the death knell for Grant as opposed to appeasing Politis. Heaven and Earth should be moved to accommodate him at Parra, or if the NRL has a say, he should be placed at a struggling club that is desperate for a marquee, such as the Titans, "for the good of the game".

It's all speculative anyway - he won't be back any time soon :)

    • Agreed

  • I don't want him now, not on the money he would command & the lopsided team we would be left with. - Go to the Roosters & f..ck their cap up for the next few years.

    • Craig don't you realise the Roosters, along with the Dogs, don't have a cap.

  • Do people honestly think he will be back in the NRL ? He can't hardly call giving that a real crack at the NFL. Another NFL club will pick him up for sure and give him more of a run hopefully. From hearing what type of person Jarryd is and how driven he is, I highly doubt he could get on a plane and come back to the NRL and be happy with himself and he's efforts.

P.S - A poor choice of phrasing referring to Finch as an "artist" and his "art". He'd never make this team regardless."
