WAYNE Bennett's plan to nullify Parramatta superstar Jarryd Hayne has been slammed as "not in the spirit of the game", but the Dally M medallist says he's powerless to stop other teams from employing the negative tactics.

Yeh I think thats a good rule too, it would encourage kickers to kick to the sideline as well which the traditionalist in me says is the place you should be aiming for.
I would like to see a flat 40m tap (instead of the current 20) for any kich that goes dead in goal, irrespective of where it was kicked from. It would eliminate teams relying on the kick to score points all the time, usually a cross field bomb, and hopefully go back to some set plays with the ball in hand to score points
They can do whatever they want, Hayne is a great player and no matter what they do he will always be great. The only thing I would like to see him do is get into position quicker, he got caught a few times.... In saying that when his injury heals and he is only going to get better....
It's pathetic, I hate Jamie Soward personally. He never plays in the spirit of the game, avoiding contact at all costs, kicking it dead on the full to nullify expansive/ exciting play etc. I don't know how Dragons fans cope with it, the boring style of footy that they play but oh well I guess when they look at the ladder and see their name on top it's some consolation...
