Hayne plane hits turbulence: Telegraph

IS IT a train? Is it a plane? Is it over? The Sydney Roosters might have committed the greatest sin on the game's young fans since David Gallop stole Harry Potter's glasses.

The Roosters, following the kind of win on Saturday night that has many declaring them the new premiership favourites, have risked exposing the game's No. 1 drawcard as a player that can be got.

Behind a good kick chase and a solid line, the - albeit, few - deficiencies in Jarryd Hayne's game were exposed on Saturday.

And so were Parramatta.

I bet the Titans are loving all this ammunition people are giving Jarryd to be absolutely revved up for Friday!

The Roosters were on fire Saturday night which is why they won and no player Jarryd or anyone else would of stopped that onslaught. But the Roosters could crumble next week for all we know. It was 1 game which only meant 2 competition points, that's all.

Its no big secret that if you get a team on the back foot all night, as the eels were, that its gonna be easy to shut down any player. If you compare the bulldogs game where our forwards dominated to last weeks game where we had no room to play you see how we lost. The roosters forwards monstered our pack and made them look slow and old. When you get dominated like that it doesn't matter who's in your team-your gonna lose in this competition. All this so called journalist/gossip columnist did was state the obvious and try pass it off as some ingenious game plan to stop hayne. Laughable

I find it really embaressing that this is the media in Australia. Here we have some idiot who thinks he's some big shot journo putting down a 22 year old in a public paper to stroke his own ego. Paul Kent, like that whole paper, is just a pathetic imbecile. The funny thing is that they're the first ones to talk him up, and the first ones to bring him down. The whole Hayne hype is their doing, yet then they criticise Hayne for being so talked up and not living up to something they placed on his back.

I hate the media. I hate the DT . And now i hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Paul Loser Kent.

paul kent also tried to give an i told you so about hayne should not be picked 4 soo at fullback as he said on matty johns show. the bloke thinks he knows every thing, how is it we get beat and he comes out bagging hayne but incase hayne makes him look stupid this week by having a blinder he said hes to good a player to write off. he wants hayne to fail but doesnt want to look stupid so takes the each way bet, the bloke is a tool

There is no doubt Kent is a tool but the fact remains that Jarryd can be lazy in defence and his positional play in defence is also poor.The question that needs answering is why this hasnt improved,we were all aware of this last year but it is still an issue so some questions need to be asked of DA.Is Hayne being made aware of this issue or is the coaching staff too scared to mention it for fear of upsetting him?Im one of Jarryd's biggest fans but at times i think he believes that its his job to lay on tries and its everyone elses job to stop them.There has been times when i have actually seen him jogging back into position with his back to the opposition for a good 15 to 20 seconds like he was kicking a ball in the park.The frustrating thing is that Jarryd is by the far the most talented player in the NRL but his defence is a glaring weakness but it is also something that is fairly simple to fix,lets just hope DA has the guts to address it.

Yes Paul Kent is a Knob! Did you guys read all the punters comments to the Kent story, Makes me so angry there are a lot of Parra and Hayne haters out there, then again i guess some of the 1eyed eels are just as bad.

Kent Calling the Eels an A grade team without Hayne is just ignorance, look at our forward pack! I am so angry right now i could play alongside Fui Fui (One Hit up then off to Hospital ha ha) but seriously I hope the forwards read this dribble because if this doesn't get them up nothing will, if I was DA I would stick the article up in the change rooms.
