    5. Boyd, Morris, Hayne

  • Sheens made it clear that hayne and tate are fighting for a spot.

  • I see this scenario as being the most likely.

  • Ive said for over a year on this site HAYNE SHOULD BE IN THE CENTRES

THIS WEEKEND WILL PROVE ME RIGHT

IN 2014  OUR BEST CENTRE PAIRING WILL BE HAYNE AND HOPPA  which would be the best centres in the comp !!!!

    • I here you EME

Hayne @ centre in a good team will be awesome on steroids man.

  • Electric why would we possibly put one of the worlds best attacking fullbacks , which is f rare at centre trapped to one side of the field, unlike being able to rove both left and right and centre field.Mate ur suggestion doesent hold f water............

    • Hi FAT GUY ,

Yes putting hayne at centre doesn't limit him , in fact he can roam behind the play more often and get more involved . Also with his speed he can chip n chase kicks or simply chase kicks down field further improving our scoring opportunities .

Hayne can always drop back to fullback for a spell , so remember that .

Why have our best offence at fullback when he can still have room to move closer to the action .

Look at the best ever centres in the game ? Now imagine Hayne and Hoppa  as our centres , Norman at 5/8 and halfback to be determined on form .

For wingers we have choices of Tonga , Loko (more likely second row), Morgan , and so on .

ANY player that is outside these two guys will lift their game no doubt .

And Hayne in centres improves our defensive structure . Less players making breaks past him and Hoppa !!!!

I really believe the Eels should try this out . Imagine fui and loko running off hayne outwide and hayne being there in support .

Hayne does go missing and due to the pressure put on him right now .

We have plenty of players that can take turns at FB or simply play that position i.e SIO who did quite well in a few games to cover for hayne if you remember .

Next year we have a luxury that we have missed , Hoppa , Hayne , Sandow,Norman and so on can play in the halves , Peats is another .

Also several can cover Centre position & FB roles -- This is a huge plus as each can go back and rest at times while the others step up to the plate .

2014 believe me -- THE EELS WILL MAKE THE TOP 8 . Wont win the GF but we will be top 8 so place your bets now .

  • The only reason Aust can afford to put JH at centre is because they have options champ, in Slater and Inglis

    • Impeccable logic FAT GUY.

    • Too right FAT GUY..whereas our options last year were Sio or Mullaney!
