Hayne hate.

I know that there are a lot of members here who are really angry at Jarryd for signing with the Titans. I am angry as well but not at Jarryd. He has made a deal with the Titans because his hands were tied. He both wanted to and needed to come back to the NRL because that is where he belongs.

The NRL has played a major role in him signing with the Titans and the following proves it;

(1) Attendance numbers for NRL games in the Gold Coast are at an all time low. AFL is starting to take over and the NRL knows it.

(2) The Titans are owned by the NRL and they know that if Jarryd signs with them, immediately that all changes.

(3) If Jarryd went back to the Eels it would be great for the club but the Titans are likely to fold if they aren't constantly propped up by the NRL. Jarryd changes all that.

(4) With or without Jarryd, the Eels will go on.

I firmly believe that Jarryd was forced to the Titans by the NRL. They have held off on finalising Parramatta's cap issues to ensure that he went to the Titans and you can bet that the 1.2mil he is getting is only whats being told to the media. The war chest was opened and there is more money being offered to him to sign and stay quite about it.

Did anyone notice how unimpressed Jarryd looked at the press conference? Not the look of a guy who is excited to be returning to the game he loves and missed.

I am as upset about him going to the Titans as anyone, he is my favorite player but it is obvious that this was all designed by the NRL.

Funny how he had to answer to the NRL about dodgy TPA's before he could return and all of a sudden he is now with the Titans, a club owned by the NRL, and playing this season which Parra couldn't offer.

Jarryd even said he thought he was coming back to the Eels but couldn't get an official offer. What's the bet in the next week or two the Eels are told what there available cap will be next season will be.

Jarryd should have come back to the Eels but the NRL new they need to fix up what was happening at the Titans and made it so. Jarryd saying that the instubility at the Eels was an issue, the Titans have gone into administration and the NRL has taken over to ensure they don't fold. That statement was fully scripted by the NRL. SHAME ON THE NRL for manufacturing this and depriving a player and a club of what they wanted and looking after themselves first.

Sorry to see Jarryd at the Titans but lets not blame this on him. The old board are the one's to blame for all of this and the NRL for taking advantage of that situation to fix there own mess which is the Titans.

  If Jarryd has been used as a pawn I will feel for him, he is an individual not a charity to help an ailing club.

Could not agree more. Absolutely nailed it. This stinks so badly it ain't funny. Todd is such a blight on the game. No doubt they engineered this and used Beavis to their advantage. His role in the cap issues would have been mentioned quite firmly. I hope the truth will come out one day because Hayne is the one who will cop the brunt of this unfairly. There was no lifetime agreement as we know. But he said over and over he wanted to play for us. He rejected big money many times over to stay at Parra previously. Did he really backflip on all of that, just like that? Ask yourself whether this seems oh so convenient for the NRL.

I hate him. Gone against everything he said, all he had to do was wait what another week or so and parra would of table him a massive offer. Just had to sort out Norman and the board first. So selfish if u ask me. This is really gonna hurt parra as a club, fans and sponsors

So you mean to tell me the man with all these wet dreams witj one of the most respected managers in the business are pushed and poked to jump through a hoop to the beat of the NRL drum?

Crap, if he wanted to come and rejoin the Eels he would have, the offer was on the table. Maybe the NRL did have words but at the end of the day it was his decision!

Regardless .. i thought hayne was his own man , and a parra man at that. He knew our club was being bought down to its knees. He could have help parramatta from that basement to the penthouse .now wouldn't that be a "DREAM come true .. cmon jarryd you still can do a backflip on this deal
